EFC members from Iloilo and Oton participated in The Kingdom Kidsโ Teachersโ Workshop held at EFC Iloilo City last May 8โ9. This two-day workshop was filled with fun, meaningful learning, growth, and fellowship as the participants gathered together to strengthen their passion for childrenโs ministry.

The workshop became more meaningful through the valuable discussions led by Rev. Melanie Igles, the main lecturer of the event. She shared important lessons about the Children Feeding Ministry: Connecting Communities to Christ with the theme verse from 2 Timothy 2:15. She discussed the purpose of the ministry which is evangelism and discipleship, and emphasized that its foundation is the gospel of grace. She also taught about the importance of childrenโs ministry and Godโs heart for children through passages from Matthew 18 and Mark 10. One of the highlights of the lecture was the discussion about the proper structure of teaching classes in churches and outreaches. Throughout the sessions, the participants remained attentive, active, and willing to share their thoughts, making the discussions more engaging and inspiring.

After the lecture sessions, the participants were grouped for their demonstration teaching activity where each team was assigned a Bible story to present. During the preparation, the participants showed their creativity, teamwork, and skills in making teaching materials, games, and activities for children. Their cooperation and love for teaching were clearly seen throughout the workshop. Each group confidently delivered their assigned stories using colorful materials and interactive presentations. The participants also took turns acting as students and judges during the demonstrations to select the best activity teacher, best in demonstration teaching, and best group based on participation, delivery, and overall presentation. The activity became a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn from one another while developing their confidence and teaching abilities.

Beyond the lessons and activities, the workshop also gave the participants the chance to build friendships and strengthen their connection with one another. Many participants reflected on the valuable learnings and experiences they gained during the two-day event. More than the awards and recognitions, the memories, teamwork, and shared passion for teaching children became the most meaningful part of the workshop. Through this experience, the participants were encouraged to continue growing in their skills, deepen their love for ministry, and serve children with joyful and willing hearts.
