The Santa Maria Prayer Community was truly blessed to sponsor the 4th Misa de Aguinaldo, a meaningful celebration that deepened our communal preparation for the coming of Christ this Advent season. It was officiated by Fr. B**g Villariza and co-celebrated by Fr. Dennis Galon.

The Mass was beautifully culminated by the heartfelt caroling of the seminarians from St. Joseph Regional Seminary and St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary, whose voices lifted our spirits and reminded us of the joy and hope of Christmas.

Following the celebration, the couples and families led the customary giving of bread to parishioners—an expression of sharing, unity, and gratitude that reflects the true spirit of the season.

We thank everyone who took part in this grace-filled morning. May this act of faith and service continue to strengthen our community as we await the birth of our Savior.

📖 Basic Bible Seminar 2025 ✨
November 29–30 | Santa Maria Prayer Community

What a blessed and enriching two days as Santa Maria Prayer Community journeyed together through the Word of God during our Basic Bible Seminar last November 29–30 held at the MPH of Santa Maria Parish. Guided by faith and the desire to grow deeper in Scripture, participants were led to a clearer understanding of God’s message and His living presence in our daily lives.

Through engaging talks, reflections, and shared experiences, hearts were opened, questions were illuminated, and faith was strengthened. The seminar reminded us that the Bible is not just a book to be read, but a living Word that speaks, heals, and transforms.

We thank all who participated, served, and supported this seminar. May the seeds planted during these two days continue to bear fruit in our families, our community, and our personal walk with the Lord. 🙏🏼📘

Serving as resource speakers to the different conferences are Elmer & Wilda Usi and Atty. Ed Leyson. Supervising the BBS is Christine Delantero, Teaching Ministry Coordinator of SMPC. She is ably supported by the following SMPC leaders: Head Servant Leaders Noli & Regine Patiño, DCS for Formation Jane Tan Yau, DCS for Evangelization Jess & Rose Gilbaliga, DCS for Management Dr. Annie Tan, and the various ministries—Service Ministry (Rodel & Hazel Caballero), Praise Ministry (Remuel Dajay & Del Fabroa), and Intercessory Ministry (Sharon Bibat & Cecille Gamilong).

Marriage Encounter #35 • Santa Maria Prayer Community November 21–23 • Borres Renewal House

What a grace-filled weekend for the seven couples who completed Marriage Encounter #35 of the Santa Maria Prayer Community! Held in the serene atmosphere of Borres Renewal House, the program offered our couples a sacred space to reconnect, communicate, and rediscover the beauty of their sacrament. The weekend sessions—presented by Fr. Dennis Galon, BLD Bacolod District Couple Sharers Nick & Anne Tongson and Doc. Romy & Betty Aglugub—guided participants through meaningful reflections, heartfelt sharing, and moments of healing and renewal.

The encounter was organized by the ME sponsoring class headed by Noel & Christine Delantero, with strong support from the auxiliary class led by Nerio & Ma. Teresa Luna with overall guidance from the Marriage Life Apostolate Coordinators Larry and Luneville Valderrama. The ME 35 class will be shepherded by Ric & Arlene Olis.

We also acknowledge the support of SMPC leaders: Head Servant Leaders Noli & Regine Patiño, DCS for Evangelization Jess & Rose Gilbaliga, DCS for Formation Jane Tan Yau & Bebe Tan, DCS for Management Dr. Annie Tan, and the various ministries—Service Ministry (Rodel & Hazel Caballero), Praise Ministry (Remuel Dajay & Del Fabroa), and Intercessory Ministry (Sharon Bibat & Cecille Gamilong). Also present were Santa Maria Parish Family and Life Ministry Coordinators Elmer & Wilda Usi and Social Action Coordinators Atty. Ed & Estela Leyson.

We thank the Lord for the breakthroughs, the forgiveness shared, and the love renewed throughout this encounter. To our seven couples—congratulations! May this be the beginning of a deeper, more Christ-centered marriage, and may your homes be filled with peace, understanding, and enduring love.

✨ TEACH LIKE JESUS SEMINAR–WORKSHOP ✨

Twenty-eight (28) members of the Santa Maria Prayer Community were blessed to join the Teach Like Jesus seminar–workshop held at Benjamin Hall, Bacolod City last November 15–16, 2025.

This two-day formation, facilitated by Bukas Loob sa Diyos – Bacolod District, deepened the participants’ understanding of Jesus as the Master Teacher—calling each one to teach with compassion, authenticity, humility, and transformative love. Day 1 concluded with a moving candle-lighting ceremony where the teachers renewed their commitment to their vocation, followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass. Day 2 was dedicated to the participants’ demo teaching, allowing them to apply their learnings and share personal insights inspired by Christ’s model of teaching and aligned with the BLD Framework.

The workshop was conducted by BLD Bacolod Teachers DCS Roni Lizada, DCS Sari Suarez, and Neil Juntado, with full support from BLD-Bacolod Teaching Ministry Coordinators Anton & Girl Menchaca and Anne Gabasan, under the guidance of DCS for Formation Armand & Sari Suarez.

Ensuring the success of this seminar-workshop were the BLD Bacolod District Cluster Shepherds Nanding and Excel Pabalinas, together with the rest of the DCS: Chen Lizada, Ernie & Maliz De Asis, Fred & Liezel Cardinal, and Edgar & Inday Basco. Our gratitude also goes to the various ministries that formed the hardworking event team.

Representing SMPC were its Head Servant Leaders Noli and Regine Patiño, DCS for Formation Jane Tan Yau, DCS for Management Dr. Annie Tan, DCS for Evangelization Jess and Rose Gilbaliga, and Teaching Ministry Coordinator Christine Delantero. Also present were Santa Maria Parish Family and Life Ministry Heads Elmer and Wilda Usi, as well as Social Action Welfare Heads Atty. Ed and Estela Leyson, who served as co-evaluators during the demo teaching.

May this experience continue to inspire and empower all participants to become more Christ-centered, effective, and Spirit-filled servants in their ministries.

To God be the glory! 🙏✨

LET US UNITE IN SUPPLICATION FOR AN END TO VIOLENCE AND CONFLICT SEEKING DIVINE INTERVENTION FOR HEALING, RECONCILIATION AND LASTING PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, UKRAINE AND THE WORLD

We are united in the Body of Christ. When one member suffers, we all suffer. We can’t be indifferent, but as Christians we come together and pray. Our response to a crisis must always be rooted in prayer. And so we invite you to join the Dawn Rosary procession this Saturday, July 5, at 5:15 am. to pray most earnestly for an outpouring of the Spirit of God, that the world may once again choose peace, strengthening those international bodies that enable us to work and live together as one humanity inhabiting one world.
Let us pray for peace amid continuing tensions in the Middle East, Ukraine and other parts of the world.
As we mourn and weep with those whose lives have been affected, we pray to the Blessed Mother Mary, the Queen of Peace for an end to this cycle of violence and to bring peace and healing.

Please share this invitation to your friends and family members. Thank you.

You are warmly invited to join the DAWN ROSARY PROCESSION this coming Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The rosary procession will begin at exactly 5:15 AM at the Santa Maria Parish ground at General Blanco Street and passing along the University of Iloilo and back to the Santa Maria Church.
The Dawn Rosary Procession is a beautiful expression of our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is a time-honored tradition that allows us to publicly demonstrate our love and reverence for Mama Mary, who is a powerful intercessor and a model of faith and obedience to God. Through this procession, we unite as a community to seek her guidance and protection, asking her to bring our prayers and petitions before her Son, Jesus Christ.
This 1st Saturday devotion of the Dawn Rosary consist of the recitation of the holy rosary, the Prayer of Reparation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the 6AM Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
How can we express more our love to Our Blessed Mother and to God?
Can we make reparation to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart in the special way she asked us? Can we offer this as our gift to Her?
To accept this invitation is a testament to your dedication and devotion to Our Blessed Mother and her powerful intercessions. She carries our bouquet of prayers, personal and universal, to Jesus in her loving arms, and presents them to Him, saying:
‘Here you are my Son, the prayers of those who love us and need us. Answer them for they love You as I love You.’ Mom.
We come and pray.

The Santa Maria Prayer Community will have a Taizé (tay-say) inspired Way of the Cross this Friday, March 22nd at 7PM inside the Sta. Maria Church. It is a simple and yet powerful way to contemplate, and enter into, the mystery of Jesus’ gift of himself to us. It is rich in meditative character and provides a great way to move our prayer from the head to the heart. To the extent that you will come to experience the love of Jesus for you, and to that extent the gratitude you will feel will be deep.
So come, bring family and friends and join us as we unite ourselves to Christ’s suffering and death and allow us the opportunity to accompany him in the Via Dolorosa. We watch as he suffers under the weight of the cross and realize it was our sins that crucified him.
A blessed and holy observance of Lent to all!
