THE EAGLE
The Eagle a classic example. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. Eagle is a symbol of strength and power like any other birds. An eagle was named King of all birds. Now let us see what the Eagles' qualities. An Eagle's vision area is 340 degrees thus allowing the eagle to see even her back. On the other hand, human has only 180 degrees vision area thus allowing him to see only the frontview. The eye of an Eagle is telescopic in nature thus allowing the eagle to see the ground even in a far distance while human are not. The eagle gains strength after undergoing a process of molting. This process is very painful on the Eagle's part because her feathers are shedding until new grown feathers are fully developed. After undergoing this process, the eagle is now ready for any challenge, be on ground or on air. The beak and claw of an eagle are strong and dangerous. God did not promise us to walk on an easy road nor to have a life of an easy joyride. It is always full of challenges and trials. Christian life is likened to a gold which undergo a process of polishing, heating and series of tests in order to determine if the gold is indeed authentic or not. The same is true with the Christians. God allows trials and testing for us to come out whether we are true believers of God or not because true believers doesn't give up. God knows that Christians are human and not a supernatural beings. As human they have weaknesses and one of these weaknesses is, getting easily exhausted.God used the Eagle as a classic example of strength and power. A moving and flying creature which can soar high once her strength are renewed. God want us to have these kind of strength, power and vision like the Eagles has so that whatever hardship we went through along the way, we may able to surmount it and that is only possible when we will wait upon the LORD. May you will reflect on this so that at the end of our journey here on earth like apostle paul we can say " For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my depature is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. (2 TIMOTHY 4:6-7)
