There was once a group of women studying the book of Malachi in the Old Testament. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse puzzled the women, and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.

That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot – then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered “Yes”, and explained that he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be damaged.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?”

He smiled at her and answered, “Oh, that’s easy. When I see my image in it.”

If today you are feeling the heat of this world’s fire, just remember that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ are refining you. "You are predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ."

"Kilala ko ang Diyos, so why do I need church? Why do I need devotion?"
"Nag pipray naman ako"
"Hindi mahalaga ang mga 'yan, pananalangin lang at kilala mo lang ang Diyos, sapat na"

These are some reasons of some people why they tend go not attend on church gatherings, not doing their devotions, and sometimes praying in their mouth not in their hearts. Marami sa ating ganito, Sometimes they're the PRIDE ONES.

MISCONCEPTION of their thoughts ;
- We don't need church
- We don't need devotions
- We don't need daily prayers
- We don't need quiet time to God
- We don't need relationship with God

TRUE conceptions ;
- We need church
- We need devotions
- We need daily prayers
- We need quiet time to God
- We need relationship with Christ

Minsan mapapride na tao ang mga nagsasabi nito. Inaakala nila'y "yes, it's okay on not having one of these, only relationship to God only matters.
Definitely not, yes "your relationship with God always matters" but how can your faith grow? How can you feel that you're spiritually maturing?

With the help of church gatherings, doing your devotions, a daily prayers, and a quiet time to God always matters to your relationship with God. Hindi mo pwedeng ipagsawalang-bahala ang ganitong mga gawain para sa Panginoon. Walang pagpapalalim na mangyayari sa relationship mo sa Diyos kung wala ka ng mga ito.

Example nalang natin ang special someone mo. Paano kayo lalalim kung wala kayong communication between the both of you? Paano kayo lalago in your relationships together kung walang pag-uusap, walang bonding, walang pagsasama or kwentuhan or meaning "WALANG PAGKAKAROON NG ORAS PARA SA ISA'T ISA?"

Sa tingin mo ba lalago kayong dalawa? Absolutely not. Ganun din sa relasyon mo kay God. Kailangan mong lumalim sa Kanya, Kailangan mong magkaroon ng quiet time sa Kanya, kailangan mong umattend sa mga Church gatherings, kailangan mong I-obey ang will Niya, kailangan mong mag devotion daily at kailangan mong mag-pray araw-araw sa Kanya for you to be grow spiritually to your relationship with God.

As we serving a living God, we should serve Him, must have a communication in His Words, in prayer and even in God—for us to grow spiritually. God without a man is still God, but a man without God is nothing. Think before we say and act na "hindi natin kailangan ng mga 'yan" kasi kailangan na kailangan natin ng mga' yan.

We shouldn't please people, but we should always please God. Tandaan natin, kung gini-gain lang natin ang approvals and compliments ng mga taong nakapaligid sa atin, I-stop na natin 'yung panloloko sa sarili natin. Hindi tayo naglilingkod sa Diyos para lang ma-approve ang sarili natin. Dapat ang Diyos ang palaging na pi-please.
