🌿 Know Your Numbers | Smart Health Management, Happy Life! 🌿

To promote community health awareness, Fo Guang Yuan Iloilo held a health talk on October 18 titled “Know Your Numbers”, featuring Dr. Kathleen Ann Gaw Te, an internal medicine and nephrology specialist from St. Paul’s Hospital. Dr. Gaw Te guided participants in understanding three key health indicators — blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol — and how to manage them for better well-being. 💪

Dr. Gaw Te emphasized that an ideal blood sugar level is around 90 mg/dL, and encouraged everyone to get regular check-ups, eat a balanced diet, exercise moderately, and maintain a healthy routine to prevent chronic diseases and enjoy a healthier life.

The session was lively and engaging, with participants saying they found the lecture both practical and fun. Many shared that they now better understand their health numbers and feel inspired to live a more health-conscious lifestyle! ✨

🌕✨ Full Moon of Kindness and Lotus Fragrance ✨🌕
On this warm Mid-Autumn Festival, children gathered at Foguanyuan to experience the “Handmade Lotus Lantern Offering” activity.

👧🧒 By crafting lotus lanterns with their own hands, they learned the pure wisdom of the lotus — rising unstained from the mud.
🙏 With sincere hearts, they offered their lotus lanterns to the Buddha, praying for world peace and family well-being.
💗 Guided by the spirit of the Three Acts of Goodness — Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, and Keep a Good Heart — they lit up the light within their hearts.

Each glowing lotus lantern brightens the Buddha’s hall and reflects the children’s pure smiles.
May the light of kindness shine on, illuminating the world with compassion. 🌸💫
