Our Pastors are still human, and all the church leaders are still human. They are not the sole authority of the church, but the Bible is. They can still sin even how spiritual they are. The problem with some Christians today is that they overly rely on their Pastors for their spiritual growth and believing everything they say not knowing that some Pastors twist the meaning of the Bible or don't even preach the true gospel at all.

When reading an article in social media about a certain news, we often fact-check it before believing it. The same goes for us as Christians, we fact check what our Pastors say, what our fellow Christian friends say, or even our family with the Bible.

In Acts 17:11, The Church in Berea examined the Scriptures daily to see if the words of Paul were indeed true and they received it with eagerness.

Theology Matters. Take time to read your Bible.

There is no surprise that the world is further straying away from God just as Paul writes in 2 Timothy about the Godlessness of people in the Last days (2 Tim. 3:1-9; 2 Tim. 4:3-4).

We can only hope that God will open the hearts of these people to see their own wickedness and guilt, and repent of their sins and turn to Christ.

Evil.

Those whom God Effectually calls, he also freely justifies (Rom. 8:30), NOT by infusing Righteousness into them, but by pardoning their sins, and by accounting, and accepting their Persons as Righteous (Rom 4:5-8); NOT for any thing wrought in them, or done by them (works), but for CHRIST'S SAKE ALONE (1 Cor 1:30-31), NOT by imputing faith it self, the act of beleiving, or any other evangelical obedience to them, as their Righteousness; but by imputing Christs active obedience unto the whole Law, and passive obedience in his death for their whole and sole righteousness by Faith (Phil 3:8-9); which faith they have not of themselves, it is the gift of God (Rom 5:17)

🌾1689 LBC, Chapter 11, Sect 1: Of Justification

We are not justified based on our works but by faith alone, "the righteous shall live by faith" (Rom 1:17) and through this, because we are saved by grace, only then we do good works to please and glorify God. After we are counted righteous (justification), God begins making us truly righteous (sanctification), culminating at our resurrection (glorification).

Every Christian will experience spiritual warfare and we should be aware of this but if we are ignorant to this fact, we probably aren't winning the battle.

In Ephesians 6:12, Paul used a variety of terms to refer to our spiritual enemies under the headship of Satan and they only have one goal: to knock the Christian down from their place of standing.

Following in verse 13, Paul provides a response to the fact of spiritual warfare and that is to take up the full armor of God so we may withstand the enemy. This describes the purpose for the strength of God; what we are to use them for.

We depend fully on God's strength and not on ourselves, for God is stronger than the enemy and that we should further cling to His glorious promise.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

DISCERNMENT TIME 🌷

Lots of celebrities in the past have been baptize because of their faith, but often times, it was only a professing faith that they claim to be a Christian but still live in a worldly life, supporting wrong social agendas, and hungry for self-glorification. They do not understand what it means to be baptized at all, thus living in a false Christianity.

Baptism is not MERELY a public or outward display of one’s faith, nor is it MERELY a personal commitment that one gets to do just because they feel like it. Baptism is a holy ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ for the new covenant of grace as an outward sign of the inward reality within a believer: that they have been made one with Christ, made alive in Him, have been forgiven through Him, and have been made new creatures to live a new life unto God because of Him.

Concerning Catriona's and other celebrities' baptism, this is still questionable since she may still support the LGBT agenda according to her previous posts. We can only hope that the church they go to would not hinder the true gospel and sugar-coat their words. Hopefully their baptism proceeds to a changed life with genuine repentance of their sins and putting their faith on Christ alone, by walking obediently and full reverence to God's word.

In Acts 20, the Apostle Paul was warned by the Holy Spirit that when he reaches Jerusalem, he will be imprisoned and afflicted. The church in Tyre and Caesarea plead with him not to go but Paul, in his obedience to the Holy Spirit, was willing and ready not only to be imprisoned, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 21). The warnings of the Holy Spirit were intended to prepare Paul, not to stop him.

Being a Christian doesn't promise you prosperity and an easygoing life. Jesus himself stated it in scripture that you will be persecuted and hated for your faith. Being a Christian means that we have full dependency on God and full submission to his will even in the worse possible circumstances that will include suffering.

The life of the prophets, apostles, and the early church persevered until their last breath by obeying God's will. The greatest example is no other than Jesus Christ himself, who chose to suffer and die in order for God's plan of redemption to be fulfilled.

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

Happy Valentines Day 💘

"And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."

It's not being kind, it's tolerance.

"And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will."

Paul's gentle but firm command is that we are not to allow ourselves to be conformed to this world. We are not to masquerade as a worldly person, for whatever the reason. We must not allow ourselves to be patterned after the spirit of the age.

The outward transformation is effected by an inner change in the mind, and the Spirit's means of transforming our minds is the Word. When a believer's mind is transformed, his thinking ability, moral reasoning, and spiritual understanding are able to properly assess everything, and to accept only what conforms to the will of God. Our lives can prove what the will of God is only by doing things that are good and acceptable and perfect to Him.

The product of a transformed mind is a life that does the things God has declared to be righteous, fitting, and complete. That is the goal of the supreme act of spiritual worship.
