December 25-26 Pax Tecum—“Peace be with you.” The bringing of the Baby Jesus to the people is a sacred reminder of Christ’s humble coming into the world as the Prince of Peace. Through this devotion, Pax Tecum with the Baby Jesus seeks to share not only a sign of peace, but a deeper spiritual invitation: to welcome Christ into our homes, our families, and our hearts.

Its objective is to foster faith, unity, and reconciliation among the people, encouraging prayer, love, and renewed trust in God’s providence. As we venerate the Baby Jesus, we are reminded of God’s closeness to His people and are called to live out the peace we receive by becoming instruments of compassion, charity, and hope in our community.

Knights of St. Joseph – Investiture and Renewal of Commitment Ceremony

Yesterday, December 14, 2025, the Knights of St. Joseph celebrated the Investiture of 26 altar servers and the Renewal of Commitment of all the altar servers during the Youth Mass at San Jose Parish Placer, Iloilo City

The ceremony was made even more special as the altar servers were vested by their parents, a beautiful symbol of family support, faith formation, and shared commitment in nurturing young servants of the Church.

The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Melitito Pocholo Visda Jr., OSA, whose guidance and presence enriched this meaningful celebration.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Parish Priest and Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Nelson G. Zerda, OSA, for his constant support and encouragement to the altar servers, and to the San Jose Parish Placer Augustinian Community for their unwavering prayers and guidance.

May St. Joseph continue to inspire and guide our altar servers as they grow in faith, discipline, and service to God and His Church. 🙏✨

KSJ on the Way to God

The Knights of St. Joseph held their weekly training focusing on the Liturgical Seasons as a foundation for their church service. After the session, a team-building activity was conducted.

Facilitators were;
Frank Solinap (President), Eldjon Gagnao (Secretary), and Patrick Alan Teruel(Mentor)

Let us pray for our servers, that the Holy Spirit may guide them and fill them with the spirit of vocation.
