St. Joseph Regional Seminary

St. Joseph Regional Seminary Founded in 1976, St. It aims to form seminarians to become integrated persons, Christ-centered, apostolic proclaimers and contemplative pastors.

Joseph Regional Seminary is a house of formation and a School of Theology for seminarians coming from the Archdiocese of Jaro, Dioceses of San Carlos, Bacolod, Kabankalan, Antique, Kalibo, Romblon, Kidapawan, as well as the Apostolic Vicariates of Taytay and Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The seminary community strives to respond in loving surrender to God, the Divine Potter, π™™π™€π™£π™šπ™˜ π™›π™€π™§π™’π™šπ™©π™ͺ𝙧 π˜Ύπ™π™§π™žπ™¨π™©π™ͺ𝙨 (until Christ is formed in us).

A Milestone of Excellence and Service

St. Joseph Regional Seminary – Graduate School of Theology was honored with a Certificate of Recognition during the 5th CHED Regional Quality Awards in celebration of the 32nd CHED Founding Anniversary and 6th National Higher Education Day held at West Visayas State University Cultural Center.

The award was received by Mr. Francis Catuiran, Registrar and Secretary to the Dean of Studies, in grateful acknowledgment of the seminary’s unwavering support and commitment to academic and institutional excellence.

Grateful hearts for the generosity extended by Rev. Fr. Julius Almeria, Parish Administrator of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Zarraga, Iloilo, for sponsoring our breakfast.

Faith and Education United in Thanksgiving at CHED Anniversary Mass

The Holy Mass for the 32nd Founding Anniversary of CHED and the 6th National Higher Education Day was celebrated last May 18, 2026, with Rev. Fr. Rey G. Zerrudo as the main celebrant. The event gathered educators, students, and guests in gratitude for the continued mission of service in higher education.

The celebration underscored a timeless truth: education is not only about academic excellence but also about forming values, shaping character, and guiding the youth toward responsible service in society.

HE HAS ASCENDED, BUT HE HAS NOT LEFT US

Today, the Church celebrates the glorious Ascension of the Lord β€” Christ returning to the Father in triumph, forty days after His Resurrection. What seemed like a farewell became a promise: β€œI am with you always.” The Ascension is not the absence of Jesus, but the beginning of the Church’s mission in the world.

As Christ ascended into heaven, He entrusted His disciples with the work of proclaiming the Gospel to all nations. The same mission continues today through the Church, through every vocation, and through every faithful heart willing to follow Him. Heaven is not merely a destination to hope for someday; it is the direction in which Christ now leads His people.

May the Ascended Lord lift our hearts above worldly distractions and strengthen us to live with courage, holiness, and hope. Like the Apostles who looked toward heaven with wonder, may we also keep our eyes fixed on Christ, who goes before us in glory.
