As Jaro celebrates its seventy-fifth year as an Archdiocese, this is not just an anniversary but a moment of grace. Quid Nunc, or “What Now?” What are we now as an Archdiocese and as a Church?

This sunny morning on May 10, 2026, Seminarians Jollen Lasaga from San Nicholas de Tolentino Parish and Ivan Veine Gregorio from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish spoke about what Jaro at 75 means. Jaro at 75 continues to teach us about Synodality. What is a Synod? It is walking together. Synodality requires prayer, listening, humility, and shared mission.

As we celebrate our seventy-five years as an Archdiocese, we are remembering our foundations and discerning where the Spirit is and what comes now after seventy-five years. This morning, the talk was joined by Saint Jerome Parish Priest Fr. Ildefonso P. Tagamolila, acolytes, lay ministers, lectors, coordinators, catechists, SJPC SocCom, and the youth.

Throughout the talk, we were able to realize what we desire for our Church – not just the Church as a structure, but the Church as the living Church, or we as a community. How can we walk together, and how can we commit ourselves to serving the Church? What now is our Church at seventy-five years?

This talk has opened the hearts of those who desire a deeper understanding of serving God and His people, and it is a moment of truth: the Church may still be the same, but when we envision walking together and do it together, we will indeed be walking together.

FLORES DE MAYO | A Tribute to Mama Mary 🌸

The flowers bloom every May, and so does our devotion to Mama Mary, the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We offer beautiful and fragrant flowers to her with prayers and songs. Though this devotion may be uncommon to some in this generation, there are still youth and elders who stay committed to it.

Flores de Mayo is a month-long devotion to Mama Mary, and it is said that if you complete all thirty-one days of Flores, your prayers will be answered. Because every sacrifice deserves a beautiful reward.
