Over the years, the National Anniversary Celebration (NAC) has evolved beyond being a country-wide gathering of faithfuls, celebrating milestones with a big breakfast, soulful mass, vibrant praise and worship, and festive fellowship. This annual event also embodies a noble, shared goal: donating a portion of raffle ticket sales to various charitable chapters. Each NAC ticket sale acts as a small ripple that, when combined, creates waves of compassion and generosity.

Beyond the celebrations of joy and thanksgiving, the event contributes to beneficiary projects that amplify BCBP's support for community development. This passion drove BCBP La Paz Chapter to identify beneficiary communities for its Handog sa Komunidad (Offering to the Community) Program during NAC 43: Barangay Ticud in La Paz, Iloilo City; Barangays Calmay & Ubian in Janiuay, Iloilo; and the Aeta settlement of Barangay Leong in Cabatuan, Iloilo.

These communities received freezer units, cash, and food processing equipment in February 2024, empowering them toward sustainable livelihoods. The success of these projects, aided by St. Paul University Iloilo Community Extension Services, has helped address the problem of poverty through education and skills training, fostering economic growth and community collaboration.

During Panayโ€™s 9th Regional Assembly and BCBP La Pazโ€™s 5th Anniversary on June 29, 2024, products from these enterprising community beneficiaries were showcased in exclusive vendor booths. These included braided doormats, native handbags, boneless bangus relleno, pickled papaya, and various chips, and sweets.

These heartwarming success stories are positive outcomes of generosity from BCBP members worldwide who supported NAC 43. If these small ripples have inspired you and made you realize your power to create big waves, consider supporting NAC 44 this year by purchasing tickets. Your contribution can turn lives around and make a significant difference.

BCBP La Paz shares NAC 43 raffle proceeds with its community beneficiaries

BCBP La Paz continues to serve and care for the impoverished by taking into action its commitment to help and support the community beneficiaries of its Handog sa Komunidad (Offering to the Community) Program.

On February 3, 2024, BCBP La Paz turned over to Barangay Ticud in La Paz, Iloilo City a freezer and food processor equipment to jump-start a food processing business. This significant effort will uplift the economic status of the community and empower them for eventual sustenance.

Another ceremonial event conducted on the same date was the delivery of a freezer and sacks of rice to the Aeta settlement of Barangay Leong in Cabatuan, Iloilo that also expressed the Chapterโ€™s cultivation of its outreach mission.

A week after, on February 12, 2024, BCBP La Paz again extended its streak of livelihood assistance to Barangay Calmay in Janiuay, Iloilo with the presentation of a freezer and cash in a drive to collaborate Barangay Ticudโ€™s resources with Barangay Calmayโ€™s livelihood. Hopefully, BCBP La Paz will achieve its goal that these communities will economically thrive with each otherโ€™s cooperation and support.

Witnessing the enthusiastic response on the turn-over of these equipment, BCBP La Paz is optimistic to achieve its greater vision that these beneficiary barangays will continue to improve and prosper in their sustainable projects to uplift their quality of life. We are here as Godโ€™s instrument to enable and support them to develop their barangays and sustain for a better future.

It is worthy to note that these outreach activities of caring and sharing by the Chapter were funded from excess proceeds of the NAC 43 raffle draw.

The successful projects were ably supported by BCBP La Pazโ€™s staunch partner, St. Paul University Iloilo Community Extension Services .

BCBP La Paz Chapter wishes to thank faith-filled BCBP members from different Chapters(nationwide & worldwide), along with their family and friends, for their unflinching support to NAC 43 making the event and the ensuing collateral activities part of the Chapterโ€™s valuable accomplishments.
