Today, we celebrate the victory of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair. At St. Padre Pio Parish and Diocesan Shrine, our hearts rejoice as we proclaim the truth that changes everything—𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞.

‘DUAW’ | April 3, 2026

Visiting every saint and the image of the dead Jesus Christ at St. John the Baptist, Ilog, the faithful take part in the solemn tradition of 'Duaw'.

This sacred act of prayer and devotion is a personal expression of penance, gratitude, and reflection. In silence and reverence, each visit becomes a moment to remember Christ’s sacrifice and His boundless love.

As the day comes to a close, Duaw gently reminds us to pause, pray, and deepen our faith. 🙏✝️

Prosisyon sang mga Pasos | April 3, 2026

The people of St. John the Baptist come together in deep faith and devotion as they take part in the Prosisyon sang mga Pasos—a traditional Good Friday procession that reenacts and reflects on the key events of Christ’s passion, from His condemnation to His crucifixion.

Each paso represents a significant moment in Jesus Christ’s suffering and death, inviting the faithful to meditate on His sacrifice and boundless love.

United as one community, parishioners of all ages walk side by side, carrying their prayers, gratitude, and unwavering trust in the Lord.

This meaningful tradition serves as a powerful reminder of Christ’s passion and love for His people. As the faithful continue this cherished practice, may every step strengthen their faith, renew their spirits, and inspire unity within the parish community. 🙏✨
