The celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception in Brgy. Dancalan, Municipality of Ilog was marked with profound devotion and unity among the faithful. The celebration began with a solemn procession honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, as devotees reverently accompanied her sacred image through the community, expressing deep faith and gratitude.

The celebration continued with the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Msgr. Numeriano Maquiran, Jr., together with clergy from various parishes and missions who joined in communion and thanksgiving. Rev. Fr. Archie Magbanua served as the preacher for the occasion, delivering an inspiring homily on Mary’s grace and example. The faithful also joyfully celebrated Fr. Magbanua’s birthday, adding a special note of thanksgiving to the day’s events.

The solemn celebration was further honored by the presence of the Vice Mayor of Ilog, Hon. John Paulo Alvarez, along with devotees from neighboring parishes and missions. Their participation highlighted the unity of the community in honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, making the feast a meaningful and grace-filled gathering for all.

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING 👑

The IFI Parish of the Immaculate Conception in Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog joyfully celebrated the Feast of Christ the King with solemn rites and vibrant expressions of faith. The celebration brought together the clergy, lay leaders, and parishioners in a unifying act of worship, highlighted by the Eucharistic celebration. The event strengthened the community’s commitment to living out the values of Christ’s kingship—justice, compassion, and service—within the life of the Church and the wider barangay.

𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐮𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐦

On the Feast of Saints Simon and Jude Thaddeus, the Investiture to the Sacred Ministry of Domestic Prelate of now Reverend Monsignor Numeriano Maquiran, Jr. was solemnly held at the Cathedral of St. Vincent Ferrer, Diocese of La Castellana.

The sacred rite was presided over by The Right Reverend Alger Loyao, Sr., Diocesan Bishop In-charge and Investing Bishop. The inspiring homily was delivered by The Right Reverend Andy Loma of the Diocese of Aklan and Capiz, with The Right Reverend Christopher Macaday of the Diocese of Guimaras also in attendance.

Joining the celebration were Rev. Msgr. Marco Sulayao and Rev. Fr. Jerome Lito from the Diocese of Iloilo, Rev. Msgr. Rey Barredo and Rev. Fr. John Paul Gabayeron from the Diocese of Guimaras, together with the clergy of the Diocese of La Castellana.

Distinguished guests — Hon. Pedro Zayco, Negros Occidental former Governor and former Kabankalan City Mayor, and other mayors and officials from various towns and cities — were present also.
