HAPPY 27TH PRESBYTERAL ORINATION ANNIVERSARY BISHOP JOSE "JOEY' RAMIREZ RAPADAS III, DD

We are so grateful to God for sending you to us as our shepherd. Together with you, we join you in thanking Him for the gift of your priesthood and episcopal ministry. You are so ablaze with the mission of reaching out to the least, the lost and the last, of being present in the same journey, of radiating His love to all. Thank you so much, Bishop.

Lord, on this anniversary of Bishop Joey's ordination, we ask You to pour out Your Spirit anew upon him. Grant him wisdom to lead, compassion to serve, and courage to proclaim the Gospel with zeal. May his ministry bear abundant fruit, and may he be sustained by Your grace in every challenge.

Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, and all the saints, keep him steadfast in faith, joyful in hope, and fervent in charity.

FEAST OF THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD

Today, May 14, the Church traditionally celebrates the glorious Feast of the Ascension of the Lord — the day when Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven forty days after His Resurrection. This sacred mystery marks not the end of Christ’s presence, but the fulfillment of His earthly mission and the beginning of the Church’s mission in the world.
Before ascending, Jesus gathered His disciples and reminded them not to be afraid. Though He would no longer remain visibly with them, He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit and assured them: “I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). The Ascension, therefore, is not a goodbye filled with abandonment, but a moment of hope, promise, and divine victory.
The Ascension reveals the glory of Christ. The same Jesus who suffered on the Cross, died, and rose again now reigns in Heaven at the right hand of the Father. Humanity itself is lifted up in Him. In ascending into Heaven, Christ opens the gates of eternal life for all who follow Him faithfully. It reminds us that our true home is not merely in this world, but in the Kingdom of God.

This feast also challenges every Christian to continue Christ’s mission on earth. Before ascending, Jesus commanded His disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. The Church continues this mission today through acts of love, mercy, truth, justice, and evangelization. We are called to become witnesses of Christ in our families, communities, workplaces, and even in the digital world.
In a world filled with confusion, conflict, and uncertainty, the Feast of the Ascension reminds us to lift our eyes toward Heaven. Christ reigns above every trial, every fear, and every darkness. His Ascension assures us that suffering does not have the final word — glory does. Hope does. God does.

As we commemorate this traditional Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, may our hearts be renewed with faith and longing for Heaven. May we never lose sight of Christ, who ascended not to leave us alone, but to prepare a place for us and to remain with us through the Holy Spirit and the Holy Eucharist.

“O God, the King of glory, You have exalted Your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph unto Your Kingdom in Heaven; leave us not comfortless, but send us Your Holy Spirit.”

May 13 — 𝙁𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙇𝘼𝘿𝙔 𝙊𝙁 𝙁𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙈𝘼

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, remembering the beautiful apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the three shepherd children — Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta — in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Through her message, Our Lady lovingly called the world back to prayer, repentance, conversion, sacrifice, and peace.

Her message remains deeply important today. In a world filled with war, hatred, confusion, division, and sin, Our Lady of Fatima reminds us that the Rosary is a powerful weapon of faith and that God’s mercy is greater than every darkness. She calls each of us to return to Jesus with humble hearts, trusting that her Immaculate Heart will ultimately triumph.

This feast is not only a remembrance of a past Marian apparition, but also a personal invitation to live the message of Fatima every day. Through prayer, sacrifice, love for God, and love for neighbor, we respond to Our Lady’s call and draw closer to Christ through Mary.

May Our Lady of Fatima intercede for our families, our nation, and the whole world. May she guide us closer to her Son and teach us to live with faith, purity, humility, and perseverance.

“O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.”

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

THE FIRST APPARITION OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA ✝️🇻🇦
On May 13, 1917, three humble shepherd children — Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco Marto, and Jacinta Marto — were tending their sheep at Cova da Iria near Fátima when Heaven touched the earth in a remarkable way.

Suddenly, they saw a bright flash of light across the sky. Thinking it was lightning, they prepared to return home. But then, above a small holm oak tree, appeared a radiant Lady clothed in white, shining more brilliantly than the sun. In her hands was a Rosary of pure white beads, and her presence filled the children with awe and peace.

Our Lady’s Message at the First Apparition
1. “Do Not Be Afraid”
The Blessed Virgin gently spoke to the children:
> “Do not be afraid. I will not harm you.”
Her words brought comfort to their hearts and revealed that Heaven comes not with fear, but with peace, mercy, and love.

2. Heaven Is Real
When the children asked where she came from, the Lady replied:
> “I am from Heaven.”
She assured Jacinta and Francisco that they would soon go to Heaven, while Lucia would remain longer on earth because Jesus desired to use her to spread devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary throughout the world.

3. A Call to Sacrifice and Conversion
Our Lady asked the children:
> “Are you willing to offer yourselves to God, to bear all the sufferings He wills to send you, in reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners?”
With courage and simplicity, the children answered:
> “Yes, we are willing.”
Then Our Lady lovingly told them:
> “You will have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your strength and consolation.”

Through this message, Heaven reminded the world that sacrifices offered with love can help bring sinners back to God.

4. Pray the Rosary Every Day
One of the most important requests of Our Lady was this:
> “Pray the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war.”

At that time, the world was suffering through the horrors of World War I. Our Lady revealed that prayer — especially the Rosary — is a powerful weapon for peace, conversion, and protection.

5. A Vision Filled With Divine Grace
As Our Lady opened her hands, rays of heavenly light poured upon the children and penetrated their souls. Lucia later described how deeply they were moved by God’s presence, causing them to fall to their knees in silent prayer and adoration.

It was a moment of grace that transformed their lives forever.

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima
O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the Rosary and Mother of Mercy, at Fatima you revealed to the three shepherd children the treasures of grace hidden within the Holy Rosary.

Fill our hearts with a deep love for this sacred devotion, that by meditating upon the mysteries of our Redemption, we may obtain peace for the world, the conversion of sinners, and the graces we humbly seek today.

Our Lady of Fatima, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us. Our Lady of the Rosary, teach us to pray faithfully, to embrace sacrifice with love, and to trust completely in the promises of your Immaculate Heart.

We consecrate ourselves to you and ask you to lead us always closer to your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker

We greet you a joyful Feast Day, Saint Joseph,
our quiet Tatay, who stands in silent strength
in every Catholic home that welcomes you
as patron and head of the household.

Teach us to live our calling with humility
and obedience to God’s will.

Above all, teach us your fiat.
You spoke no recorded words in Scripture,
yet when God’s message came to you in a dream,
you rose—and you acted.
You did exactly what was asked of you.

May we, too, as legionaries, imitate your fiat:
not only to say “yes,”
but to live that “yes” each day
through the work and mission God entrusts to us.

May our apostolate glorify God—
by serving Jesus through Mary,
and bringing souls back to the Church,
back to the Body of Christ.

Saint Joseph, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Most Chaste Spouse of Mary our Mother,
Protector of the Church and of families,
and our patron—intercede for us. Amen.

Viva Senyor San Jose Obrero!

April 29 falls on a Wednesday—a day marked by devotion to the Mother of Perpetual Help and the feast of Saint Catherine of Siena.
This day holds special significance in the Church as a time for prayer and reflection.

Wednesdays are traditionally dedicated to honoring Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a cherished title of the Virgin Mary. Many believers turn to her on this day, bringing their burdens, fears, and hopes, trusting in her constant care and intercession. She reminds us that we are never abandoned in our struggles, always guiding us closer to her Son, Jesus, with renewed faith and confidence.

At the same time, the Church celebrates Saint Catherine of Siena, a woman known for her profound faith, courage, and wisdom. Living during a period of great turmoil, she became a powerful voice for truth and unity, helping lead others back to God through her example and words. Her life proves that even in difficult times, a single person grounded in faith can have a lasting impact.

This day calls us to grow deeper in prayer, to seek God sincerely, and to follow the examples before us—Mary’s gentle and faithful guidance, and Catherine’s bold and unwavering trust in God. May we place our lives in God’s hands with the same faith and courage.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

Saint Catherine of Siena, pray for us.

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 | SAINT MARK THE EVANGELIST (April 25)

Today, we honor St. Mark, who authored the earliest record of Jesus’ life and death found in Scripture. Often identified as "John Mark" and the cousin of Barnabas, he was a dedicated follower of St. Peter and served as the Apostle's interpreter, capturing Peter’s eyewitness accounts for the early Church.

St. Mark is traditionally represented by the lion. This symbol stems from his Gospel's opening scene in the desert—a place where the lion is king—mirroring the bold "voice of one crying out in the wilderness." Beyond his writing, tradition credits him with founding the Church in Alexandria and serving as its first bishop before his martyrdom.

Through his courage and his pen, St. Mark ensured that the story of our salvation would be preserved for all generations.
