Through the Holy Mass, Novena, and various parish activities, we are invited to renew our call to prayer, penance, and conversionโ€”echoing Our Ladyโ€™s message at Fatima: to return to God with sincere hearts and steadfast faith.

Today, the Church honors ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐‰๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฉ๐ก under the title โ€œthe Worker,โ€ presenting him as a model of dignity in labor, humility, and faithful service. As the foster father of Jesus and protector of the Holy Family, Saint Joseph sanctified ordinary work through his quiet dedication and trust in God.

This feast was established in 1955 by Pope Pius XII, in response to the growing influence of ideologies that sought to separate human labor from God. By placing this celebration on May 1, the Church affirms that work is not merely a means of production, but a participation in Godโ€™s creative plan, meant to uplift the human person.

As we reflect on the life of Saint Joseph, may we offer our daily work to the Lord, striving for holiness in even the simplest tasks, and recognizing the dignity of every worker.

On this Fourth Sunday of Easter, the Church contemplates Christ as the ๐†๐จ๐จ๐ ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ฉ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ who knows His sheep, calls them by name, and lays down His life for them. In Him, we find guidance, protection, and the promise of abundant life.

Today, we also pray in a special way for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, that many may hear and courageously respond to the voice of the Shepherd.

May we learn to listen more attentively to His voice, follow Him with trust, and reflect His care and compassion to others.

Jesus, our Good Shepherd, lead us and guide us always.

Today, the Church joyfully celebrates ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค, ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ, whose Gospel proclaims the power of Christ in action. Through his words, we encounter Jesusโ€”the Suffering Servant, who brings healing, hope, and salvation to all.

As we honor Saint Mark, may we be inspired to boldly share the Good News in our daily lives, bearing witness to Christ through our words and actions. Like him, may we remain steadfast in faith, trusting in the Lord who is ever at work in our midst.

On this Second Sunday of Easter, we encounter the Risen Jesus Christ who comes to His disciples in their fear and doubt, offering them peace. Like Thomas the Apostle, we are invited to move from doubt to faith, proclaiming, โ€œMy Lord and my God!โ€

Also celebrated as Divine Mercy Sunday, this day reminds us that the mercy of Christ is endlessโ€”flowing from His wounded side for the salvation of all.

May we trust more deeply, believe more firmly, and become instruments of His mercy in the world.

In response to the call for a global prayer for peace with Pope Leo XIV, the Diocese of Iligan invites everyone to a Prayer Vigil for World Peace this Saturday, April 11, 2026 5:30pm onwards at St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral.

Join us for the Holy Mass to be presided by Bishop Joey, there will a Holy Rosary right after Mass, Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and a solemn Taizรฉ Prayer.

SUGAT 2026 | In this beautiful tradition, the Risen Jesus Christ meets His Blessed Mother as the veil is lifted and the joy of the Resurrection is revealed. This moment also reflects the deep and unique devotion of the Filipino people to Maryโ€”walking with her in sorrow, and rejoicing with her in the victory of her Son.

In the joyful tradition of the Sugat, we witnessed the beautiful encounter of the Risen Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Mary, Mother of Jesusโ€”a moment where sorrow is turned into joy and mourning into hope.

As the veil of grief is lifted, the Resurrection is proclaimed: Christ is alive, and death has no more power. This sacred meeting reminds us that after every suffering comes new life in Him.

In the Sugat Mass this Easter Sunday, we rejoice as one community, celebrating the victory of Christ and the fulfillment of Godโ€™s promise. Alleluia! Christ is risen!
