โจ Another Shabbat, a reminder to endure and remain faithful.
This , we reflected on a common beliefโโonce saved always saved.โ But the Scriptures show us that our walk is not just about starting in faith, but continuing in it faithfully until the end.
๐ Mark 13:13
โHe that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.โ
We were also reminded that the gift given to us is preciousโand it must be guarded. It is not something to take lightly, but faithfully, for every teaching of Yahshua, because what is given can also be taken away if we do not remain faithful.
๐ Genesis 32:28
โYour name shall no longer be called Yaโacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with Elohim and with men, and have prevailed.โ
โก๏ธ The word Israel (ืึดืฉึฐืืจึธืึตื โ Yisraโel) comes from:
* โsarahโ (ืฉึธืืจึธื) โ to strive, contend, overcome
* โElโ (ืึตื) โ Elohim
๐ Meaning: โOne who strives with Elohim and prevailsโ
๐ In essence: Overcomer
๐ Revelation 3:5
โHe who overcomes shall be clothed in white garmentsโฆโ (The Bride of Yahshua)
๐ 2 Timothy 3:15
โFrom childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in .โ
The Scriptures donโt just inform usโthey lead us into a life that must be lived. begins with faith, but it is guided by truth that we must walk in daily as part of as we change our ways into His ways with the guidance of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16โ17).
๐ Hebrews 3:14
โWe have come to share in Messiah, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.โ
There is a conditionโif we continue. We are called to endure, not just begin, to hold the gift firmly.
๐ James 1:22
โBe doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.โ
To truly hear is not just to listen. Shema means to hear and obey sincerelyโa response of action, not just words.
๐ Ephesians 2:10
โFor we are His workmanship, created in Yahshua Messiah for good worksโฆ that we should walk in them.โ
โฆas we strive to follow Yahshua as Messianic believers/followers.
We were not only saved from sinโbut saved to walk in obedience and good works prepared by Elohim. Faith is revealed through worksโthis is a faith that lives and acts.
Shabbat reminds us:
Faith is not passive. Salvation is not something to assumeโit is something we walk in (as we change our ways into His ways because we were grafted in), remain in, and finish in.
๐ Ezekiel 20:12
โMoreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.โ
We are called โ .
So let us overcome, remain faithful, and guard the gift entrusted to us until the end. ๐ค
