Today, we join the entire Catholic community in honoring the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary — a celebration of Mary’s purity, grace, and unwavering “yes” to God’s mission.

As we commemorate this solemn feast, may we be inspired by Mama Mary’s humility and faithfulness. Let her loving protection guide our families, our community, and our journey of faith.

Holy Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. 🙏

Today, we join the faithful of Iligan City in celebrating the feast of our beloved patron, Señor San Miguel, the Archangel.

St. Michael, defender of the Church and leader of the heavenly hosts, inspires us to stand firm in faith, to fight for what is just, and to trust in the triumph of God’s love.

May his intercession protect our city, guide our leaders, and strengthen every Iliganon in living out a life of faith, hope, and charity.

On Day 2 of the Triduum for St. Alphonsus Liguori, we meditate on his teaching on Confession, presented in Moral Theology (Volumes 5 & 6), and his Praxis Confessarii—a manual for priests.

He asserts that a good confessor must serve as father, physician, teacher, and judge: welcoming sinners with charity, diagnosing spiritual wounds with moral learning, instructing clearly, and discerning prudently when absolution should or should not be granted.

He further teaches that penances should align with the seriousness of sins—and with the penitent’s capacity to fulfill them.

Let us pray for the gift of confession well‑formed in conscience and compassion.
