Our teachers recently participated in the CET Leg 1 (Christian Educators Training) of the School of Tomorrow, Philippines where they were immersed in the actual Learning Center Procedures and hands-on classroom systems used in the ACE program.

𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘 is an acronym that stands for Packet of Accelerated Christian Education.

TCA uses bite-sized, achievable booklets called PACEs. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗸𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Wheeew!

Each grade level at TCA consists of 12 PACEs per subject. PACEs integrate 𝗚𝗼𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 into the academic content, and activities are carefully designed to develop 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 and create 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

🏅How do students at TCA set and achieve their academic goals?

Here is the typical daily cycle for each Elementary student at TCA:

1️⃣ Morning Planning: The moment they sit down at their student office, the first task is to fill out their Goal Card. They look at their progress in each core subject—Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Word Building, and Literature/Creative Writing.
2️⃣Defining the Workload: The student determines exactly how many pages or "checkups" they intend to complete in each PACE (Packet of Accelerated Christian Education) for that day.
3️⃣The Commitment: These goals are written in ink. Once the supervisor (teacher) initials the card, it becomes a formal commitment for the day.
4️⃣Self-Scoring: As students complete sections, they head to a scoring station to check their work. If they find errors, they return to their desks to correct them before moving forward.
5️⃣The Crossing Off: At the end of the day, or as tasks are completed, the student crosses through the goal. If a goal isn't met, it is usually carried over to the next day or assigned as "homework" to ensure the student stays on track with their projected completion date.

In this class, the learning experience of Preschoolers focuses on the developmental skills needed to prepare them to be able to read— such as phonological awareness and visual recognition, gross and fine motor skills, listening skills and creative thinking skills, socialization skills and love for reading. 📚

Our 2-year Reading Program for Preschool and Kinder 2 has a long-standing track record of producing confident readers.
