Q. Why did the Catholic Church substitute Sunday for Saturday?

A. The Church substituted Sunday for Saturday, because Christ rose from the dead on a Sunday, and the Holy Ghost descended upon the Apostles on a Sunday.

Q. By what authority did the Church substitute Sunday for Saturday?

A. The Church substituted Sunday for Saturday by the plenitude of that divine power which Jesus Christ bestowed upon her.

Cebuano Translation (GC88 505.2):

Ang Dios nagaingon, “Magabutang Ako og panagbangi.” Kini nga panagbangi dili natural nga anaa sa tawo. Sa dihang ang tawo milapas sa balaod sa Dios, ang iyang kinaiya nahimong daotan, ug siya nahimong uyon, dili kontra, kang Satan.

Sa natural, walay panagbangi tali sa makasasala nga tawo ug sa sinugdanan sa sala. Ang duha nahimong daotan pinaagi sa pag-apostasya (pagtalikod sa Dios). Ang apostata dili gyud mahimutang gawas kon makabaton siya og suporta ug simpatiya pinaagi sa pagdani sa uban nga mosunod sa iyang panig-ingnan.

Tungod niini, ang nahulog nga mga anghel ug daotan nga mga tawo naghiusa sa usa ka desperadong pakig-uban.
