Mid-week Service.
Running the Race with Endurance.

Hebrews 12:1-3 NLT
[1] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. [2] We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. [3] Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

📌Life is compared to a race. This race is not about speed, but about endurance, faithfulness, and focus. Many believers start strong, but along the way become tired, discouraged, or distracted.

☑️Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. And to finish the race, let us lay down the weight that slow down our spiritual growth, and the sin that easily ensnares us, things that trap and stop our progress.
☑️Christian life is not easy.
There will be trials, persecution, discouragement, and waiting seasons. But don't give up nor quit. Just keep going. Fix your eyes to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
☑️ Avoid focusing to the problem so you won't be discouraged.
☑️Do not focus to people so you won't be disappointed.
☑️Focus to Jesus and He will give you strength.
☑️DO NOT QUIT
☑️KEEP RUNNING, YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS AHEAD.
☑️GOD DID NOT CALLED YOU JUST TO START, HE CALLED YOU TO FINISH THE RACE 🙏❤️

Joshua sent two men to spy on Jericho. They stayed in the house of Rahab, a pr******te.
Josue 2:1

📌Even though Rahab had a sinful past, God used her. She hid the spies on her roof and lied to protect them. She risked her life to save them.

The Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.” (v.11)

📌This is a strong confession of faith. Rahab believed that the God of Israel is the true God. Her action showed that she had already chosen to trust the God of Israel instead of her own people. And because of her faith, not only her life was saved, but also her family.

📌This shows that faith seeks salvation for oneself but also for family, because no one is too sinful for God’s grace.

“The Lord has surely given the whole land into our hands.” (v.24)

📌The fear of the Israelites was replaced by faith. They trusted that God would give them victory.

📌Just like Rahab, God will use you no matter how sinful you are, if you have a willing heart.

Therefore:
☑️Trust God even when it is risky
☑️Leave your past behind and follow Him
☑️Stand firm in faith when others doubt
☑️Believe that God has a good plan for your life.

A Season For New Beginning And A Call To Move Forward

God's Commission To Joshua (Joshua 1:1-2)
📌After Moses died, God appointed Joshua as the new leader of Israel. This was a heavy responsibility. Joshua would lead the people into the Promised Land—a task filled with battles, challenges, and uncertainties.
📌Like Joshua, God also appointed us to continue the works that His son, Jesus Christ started here on earth. We are called to proclaim the good news. If Joshua was appointed to lead the Israelites into the promised land, we are also appointed to usher people to Jesus, God commissioned us to make disciples.
📌Leadership brings pressure.
God does not promise that it will be easy.
He wants us to move forward in faith, obey His Word, and be strong because He is with us.

How to start making decisions that honor God.

Obey in the small things first:

Big, God-honoring decisions grow out of daily obedience.
Faithfulness in prayer, integrity, forgiveness, and service trains your heart to recognize God’s voice.

“Whoever is faithful in little will be faithful in much.” (Luke 16:10)

How Are We Born Again!

John 3:5-8
[5] Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ [8] The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

To be born of the flesh is the first birth that we’ve all experienced. But something more must happen for us if we are to enter the kingdom of God, and Jesus describes that more as a birth by the Spirit.

Walking In The Light, Walking With Jesus

“Then Jesus told them, ‘You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.’” — John 12:35

Walking in the light means surrendering our old ways, seeking God's guidance, and allowing His Spirit to shape our thoughts, actions, and attitudes.
Jesus is not just a light; He is the Light of the world. And where His light shines, confusion disappears, truth is revealed, and life is transformed.

Dokimos Discipleship with the Volunteers...

Colossians 3:23-24 NIV
[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, [24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Our daily work—whether big or small, seen or unseen—has spiritual value when done for God. When we pour our heart into what we do, with honesty, diligence, and faithfulness, we are offering worship through our actions.

Dokimos Discipleship
Matthew 4:4 NKJV
[4] But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’

Spiritual nourishment is far more important than earthly satisfaction. God’s Word sustains our soul just as food sustains our body. Jesus demonstrates that victory over temptation comes from depending on God’s Word, not on human strength or worldly provision.
