Happy Priestly Ordination Anniversary Bishop Joey Rapadas!

Prayers and blessings on your 27th Presbyteral Ordination Anniversary, Bishop Joey! We are so grateful to God for sending you to us as our shepherd. Together with you, we join you in thanking Him for the gift of your priesthood and episcopal ministry. You are a gift to the Diocese, to the faithful. You are so ablaze with the mission of reaching out to the least, the lost and the last, of being present in the same journey, of radiating His love to all. Thank you so much, Bishop.

Lord, on this anniversary of Bishop Joey's ordination, we ask You to pour out Your Spirit anew upon him. Grant him wisdom to lead, compassion to serve, and courage to proclaim the Gospel with zeal. May his ministry bear abundant fruit, and may he be sustained by Your grace in every challenge. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, and all the saints, keep him steadfast in faith, joyful in hope, and fervent in charity.

"Let anyone who hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches"

EDITORIAL:
REVELATION—LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING

The Church, guided by the successor of Peter, the Pope, continues her mission of listening and renewal in a changing world. Under the leadership of Pope, the call to become a more synodal Church has taken deeper root, inviting all the faithful to walk together in discernment and mission.

At the heart of this journey stands the bishop, the local shepherd, who listens attentively to his flock and leads the diocese in communion with the universal Church.

Our bishop, Jose R. Rapadas III,D.D., consistently emphasizes the Synod on Synodality—participation, communion, and mission—in both large gatherings and small meetings. He calls the diocese to move forward with openness to the Holy Spirit, highlighting synodality not merely as a process, but as a way of being Church where every voice matters.

The refrain in Revelation—“Let anyone who can hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches” (Rev 2:7; 2:11; 2:17; 2:29; 3:6; 3:13; 3:22)—urges attentive listening. By embracing this call, the Church becomes a living witness to unity, guided by the Spirit toward continual renewal and faithful service.
