Ahkam An-Nisa Webinar Series – 13th Session.

Alhamdulillah! Last Wednesday, we successfully concluded the 13th session of the Ahkam An-Nisa Webinar Series, delivered by Ustadha Farhannah Mangondato. The session reminded us how Islamic rulings protect our faith, dignity, and modesty in daily life.

Brief Takeaways & Reflections:

Chapter 51 – "Warning Against Magic, Fortune-Telling, and Astrology"
This chapter taught us that turning to horoscopes, fortune readers, or superstitions instead of du‘a and tawakkul - weakens our faith, as these practices can lead to shirk and weaken tawakkul.
For example: relying on zodiac signs to make decisions replaces trust in Allah, who alone knows the unseen.
A True Believer turns to Allah through Prayers, Dua, Reading Qur’an, and righteous actions.

Chapter 52 – "Prohibition of a Woman Describing Another Woman to Her Husband"
Islam preserves modesty by forbidding detailed descriptions of another woman’s appearance. For example: describing a woman’s beauty or body to one’s husband may create temptation or comparison, which Islam aims to prevent.

Chapter 53 – "Prohibition of Beautifying Oneself to Attract Men"
This chapter reminded us that beautification meant to gain attention from non-mahram men goes against haya’.
For example: dressing or adorning oneself specifically to be noticed by strangers contradicts the Islamic value of modesty.

We are thrilled to share another heart-touching milestone under the guidance of our sister, Anissa.
​Behind every conversion is a unique story, and this one begins with a union of hearts. Our sister recently entered a marriage with a Maranao brother—initially unsure of what the future held or why her path led her there. However, through the daily lived example of her husband’s character and the beauty of their shared life, the light of Islam began to shine through.
​Witnessing the peace and values of the faith in action, she found her heart opening to the Truth. On January 27, 2026 Anissa took her Shahada , we celebrate her firm decision to embrace Islam. This is a powerful reminder that sometimes, love for a person can lead us to the ultimate love for the Creator.

Another soul has found her way home. Today, we celebrate a beautiful transition guided by faith, friendship, and the infinite grace of Allah (SWT).
​For a long time, Shahanie stood as a witness to the beauty of Islam through the character and modesty of her hijab-wearing friends. What started as simple admiration blossomed into a deep, spiritual connection—so profound that she would join them during Salah even before her conversion, her heart already bowing in sincerity and seeking peace.
​On January 27, 2026, the search for truth reached its beautiful destination. Shahanie officially took her Shahada, embracing Islam with full conviction, a pure heart, and zero doubt.
