Ecclesiastes 2:11 NKJV
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done And on the labor in which I had toiled; And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind. There was no profit under the sun.

In Ecclesiastes chapter 2 verses 4 to 10, King Solomon wrote the things he worked hard to acquired as he lived. He possess a lot of things that includes the houses he built, gardens, servants, herds and flocks, treasures and all other things. But he came to realize that it is all nothing. Vanity !
As humans, we tend to work hard and push ourselves to the limits for us to own the things that we want. We thought that if we possess the things that we like, we will be happy with it. But, it will just give us temporary happiness and pleasure then we'll realize that it is all nothing. Vanity !
Instead, why don't we work hard and seek God? It is only in Him that we'll experience contentment. It is in Him that we'll feel comfort and secured. And in His presence, we will experience peace and happiness. We must focus our eyes to our Lord and not in this world. "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 NKJV

Ecclesiastes 1:14
I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Even the wisest and richest man on earth find no happiness and fulfillment as he pondered on the life here on earth. Everything is meaningless , it seems like life has no purpose if death is only the end and the earth will just go on and nothing more. How sad and depressing life can be if that were so.

BUT, thanks be to God for His love, for He has given us a promise and a hope, that there is life after death, there is eternity beyond the grave, that there is a perfect place that He prepares for us and that this world is not our home. And by knowing this, gives us a greater purpose in our life to live our life God's wants us to be and most importantly to share this message of hope and salvation to those who are lost and hopeless.

Ecclesiastes 1:3 KJV
What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

This verse in ecclesiastes chapter 1 made me realize that all I do and all i wanted to achieve are nothing. We work and strive hard everyday to make our life better than yesterday, that we may buy what we need and what we want, that we may be able to provide for our family and for ourselves. Yes it is good and important for us to survive in this world, but are we building a strong foundation and relation to our God?
As we continue to live and survive here on earth, let us not forget to build a strong relationship to Him. It is what matters most. We may become very successful but when we die, all the things we worked hard and acquired here, remains here. We don't belong in this world, we live here temporarily, we belong to the place God has promised for us. That is why above all things, let us strengthen our relationship to Him that we may experience the place that God prepared for us.

Proverbs 31:30 ESV

Beauty is not an important quality to look for a woman. Look for someone who will bring you closer to God. Nothing can make you feel happy than knowing your partner will be with you in heaven. Outside appearance would only wither away in time, that is why we should look what is inside the heart as what God would look onto us. If you found a partner who will draw you nearer to God, you just found a gem in this world full of rocks. Cherish that rare precious gem.

Proverbs 30:5 ESV

Whenever you feel down, forgotten by friends or even your family, remember that God is always there for you. God has promised us that He will be with us always and He is true to His promise. You may not trust anyone in this world but you can always trust Him. He is there for you, waiting for you to come to Him. All you need to do is call Him, and He will hear you. Speak to Him, and He will listen. Trust Him, for He cares for you.

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praise.

This chapter is all about an excellent wife. the bible tells us how lucky and blessed you are if you find an excellent wife. This chapter is for all of us but it is more important to youth especially those single who are looking for a right partner. Today our world is full deceitfulness especially on how we measure beauty. if you look at social media, those who are half naked and almost naked are the most followed individual and most like. and because of likes and follow many women did the same thing, unfortunately even "some SDA". but the bible tell us what is the most important thing for a woman, yes beauty and charm is important and we especially men can't deny it that its one of the first thing that we look when meeting a girl. But the bible tells us and reminds us that its not the most important thing. hinaot nga dili kita palimbong sa kalibutan mahitungod ani nga butang. sa mga babaye, ayaw kamo pagsuot ug mga biste nga halos ipakita na ninyo inyuhang tanan lawas aron lng dghan ug mag likes and follow. sa mga lalake ayaw mo patintal s gwapa lng pero wlay kahadlok s Dios. tungod sa realidad s kinabuhe pag abot sa panahon ang kinaiya gayud ang labing mas importante aron mkabaton kitag malipayon nga panimalay.

Proverbs 30:12 ESV
There are those who are clean in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth.

As we live here on earth, it is easy for us to judge our brothers and sisters when they did wrong things and make bad decisions. That is why, this verse reminds us to never judge a person based on his or her actions. There are things that he or she went through that we don't know. And who are we to judge the person? We are all sinners and we all make mistakes.
That is why as we continue to journey, let us pray to God that He will help us humble ourselves to Him and we have no rights to look down other people just because they sin differently. We are all brothers and sisters, we are all equal in the sight of God.

Proverbs 30:7-9
7 God, I ask you to do two things for me before I die. 8 Don’t let me tell lies. And don’t make me too rich or too poor—give me only enough food for each day. 9 If I have too much, I might deny that I need you, Lord. But if I am too poor, I might steal and bring shame to the name of my God.

These should also be our prayers in our life. Vanity and lies brings forth most sins. It is important that we should be concerned about the dangers of poverty and richness , its effect on our relationship with God. The words that we say must be always truthful, especially in spreading the word of God for us to lead others in the right path to God and be satisfied with whatever God has given to us so that we can live peacefully and faithfully with Him.

Proverbs 29:20. Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Be careful with your words because its powerful. Because even the smallest of words can be the ones to hurt you or save you. Though we cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words. yes there so many good and bad effects of our words. that's why this text tells us that if we are hasty with our words, there is more hope for a fool than for us. this is a very strong words about how should we guard our words. so before we utter a words lets think first. if our words cannot give good effects to our neighbor or friends better not to tell it.

Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

As Christians we should always be careful with our words. In every situation, let us think before we speak. Is it the truth? , Will i hurt somebody if i say this or that? , Is it right to tell him this or that? , etc. Most people speak hastily, especially when we become angry, we tend to hurt somebody with our words. In times like this, we should pray to the Lord and ask Him to help us humble ourselves and let Him in control. Pray that He will guide us in everything that we say, that instead of speaking wicked words, it may be a blessing to the person. A way for him or her to see the goodness of Lord through you and what it is like to have God in our lives.

Proverbs 28:26 ESV
Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.

This verse reminds us to always seek the guidance of our Almighty God as we live here on earth. It is because He is always willing to be with us as we journey. He will lead us to the right path, He will protect us from harms and danger, He will help us make the right choice in every decision that we will make, and He will give us heavenly wisdom to overcome things that we will be facing.
Without God, we are nothing. And that is the very reason why we should kneel down and pray to Him, surrender everything to Him and let God take control of our lives.
