Alay Kapwa is a Supreme Student Government (SSG) initiative that involves a cash collection drive where all funds gathered are allocated through a designated percentage system to selected beneficiaries. These may include outreach programs, partner communities, or specific causes identified by the organization.

The program promotes transparency, accountability, and purposeful giving, ensuring that every contribution is distributed fairly and used to create meaningful and measurable impact for those in need.

Yesterday, the SSG donated essential gardening supplies to the Digkilaan community through the Alay Kapwa funds, including a hose, barrel, sprinkler, seeds, and fertilizers. These materials are intended to help establish and sustain a community gardening project as a foundation for a continuous livelihood program. Through this initiative, the SSG aims to empower residents to cultivate their own crops, promote food security, and create opportunities for additional income, fostering long-term growth and self-reliance within the community.

Today, we visit the Chapel of the Saints of St. Michael's Cathedral to take part in the Novena Prayer in honor of St. John Baptist de La Salle. This special time of spiritual preparation leads us toward his feast day, as we recall his life dedicated to Christian education, especially for the poor. As the patron saint of teachers, his witness continues to inspire faith, zeal for service, and commitment to forming minds and hearts in the light of the Gospel.

Held in this sacred space, the novena gathering unites the community in prayer and reflection. Each day offers an opportunity to rediscover the value of education as a ministry and to deepen one’s relationship with God through the example of St. La Salle’s life and mission.

As we take part in this novena, we are reminded that our own calling whether as educators, students, or members of the community, is a mission entrusted to us by God. Like St. John Baptist de La Salle, may we find meaning in serving others selflessly, especially those in need, and strive to become instruments of hope, faith, and transformation in the lives of others.

La Salle Academy celebrates today the Liturgical Feast of our dear Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, Patron Saint of Teachers.

In the Lasallian mission, teaching is more than a profession—it is a calling. Inspired by St. John Baptist de La Salle, educators are invited to embody Christ’s love, patience, and zeal in guiding the young.

And for students, each teacher becomes a living witness—an invitation to recognize Christ present in those who teach, guide, and believe in them.

St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.

With grateful hearts, we thank the Lord for the success of our Institutional Lenten Recollection for all employees.

This meaningful gathering has given us the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with our faith amidst the busyness of our daily responsibilities. May the lessons we have received continue to inspire us to live with humility, compassion, and a renewed commitment to serve others with love.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our speaker, Ms. Diana Jane Roque, for generously sharing your time, wisdom, and spiritual insights. Your words have truly touched our hearts and reminded us of God’s enduring presence in our lives. Thank you for being an instrument of His grace and guidance.

As we continue our Lenten journey, may we carry with us the spirit of reflection and renewal, striving each day to grow closer to God and to one another.

Animo Lasalle!
