TODAY’s GMRC | Never Cut Down A Tree Thoughtlessly

A tree is more than wood. It is a silent gift from God. It provides shade to the weary, shelter to birds, clean air to breathe, and beauty to the earth. What nature patiently nurtures over many years can be destroyed in just a few minutes.

This is why we must be responsible stewards of creation. Before cutting a tree, we should ask ourselves: Is it truly necessary? Have we considered the consequences? Are we willing to replace what we remove?

The Bible reminds us that the earth belongs to God and has been entrusted to our care: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and care for it” (Genesis 2:15).

As disciples of Christ, let us not be careless consumers of creation but faithful guardians of God’s gifts. Every tree we protect is a sign of gratitude to the Creator and a gift we leave for future generations.
