This question echoes deeply, in fact, during the session Bro. Butz Paalisbo challenges the differences between the Christians of today โoften perceived as weak and lifeless, lacks power and effectiveness compared to early Christians who were dynamic, strong, and irresistibly alive in their faith. The great example of this was Jesus' 12 disciples. We might wonder what transformed twelve ordinary men and became the pillars of Christianity? What gave them the courage to proclaim the gospel even in the face of persecution?
The answer is simple and powerful, it's because of "THE HOLY SPIRIT"
But how do we receive the Holy Spirit?
To receive the Holy Spirit is to enter into a deeper, more personal relationship with God. It is to be given a new natureโbecause though we are human and often weak, we are not left to rely on our strength alone. We are empowered to serve, not because we are the best or the most capable, but because we are guided by Him. This power is not something distant; we have already received it in our baptism, symbolized by water and oil, and it is strengthened through confirmation, where we are called to be soldiers in Godโs army. Yet this power must be awakened. We are invited to ask, to seek, and to believeโwith a faith that endures.
Bro. Butz Paalisbo highlighted "mahimo tang kusgan kung naa nato ang Holy Spirit" this statement is an invitation to move our faith from passive to more alive because the same power that transformed the early Christians is waiting to transform us.
We are truly living as Christians only when our faith is not passive but alive, ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ญ who transforms weakness into strength and ordinary lives into bold witnesses of Christ.
