INDIGENOUS FILIPINOS, ONE IN GOD'S FAMILY
Indigenous Peoples Sunday🙏

This annual observance began in 1978 when the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) decided to honor the countless indigenous peoples and communities in the country. In order to give importance to their contribution to our society, the Catholic Bishops declared the second Sunday of October as Indigenous Peoples Sunday, formerly Tribal Filipino Sunday. The celebration aims to call everyone's attention to the plight of the indigenous people who are often exploited and discriminated against in society.

In line with, we invite you to offer prayers for our indigenous brothers and sisters and for the missionaries serving their communities. May we also have the courage to assist them physically, financially, and through other means, given the capacity to help.

Additionally, as part of this tribute, we are encouraged to wear in native attire and inspired clothes this Sunday to express our support and pride in being a part of the Indigenous People.
