“Our Responses to Different Situations”
Numbers 13:1-3
Preacher: Ptr. Inkyu “Paul” Won

There are four (4) elements of a state:
1. Population
2. Territory,
3. Government
4. Sovereignty

In Leviticus, God gave Israelites the LAW. When He brought them out of Egypt, God promised them a land. In Numbers 13:1-3, God had commanded Moses to send the twelve (12) spies so the Israelites would be equipped to do battle in the land of Canaan. After 40 days of spying, they came back and report to Moises.

The response of 12 spies to Moises:

First report is the 10 out of the 12 spies said, “Indeed the land there is prosperous and beautiful BUT THE PEOPLE THERE ARE GIANTS AND MUCH STRONGER THAN US. THEIR WALLS ARE HIGH TOO. WE CANNOT ATTACK THEM FOR THEY WILL ONLY DEVOUR US; WE ARE JUST LIKE A GRASSHOPPER TO THEM.”

We can see in their response that they are afraid and they are lacking faith and trust in God. They neglect the fact that God is with them in the very beginning of their journey—God has provided food, shelter, and safety. Instead of trusting God, they keep on complaining to Him. Others are crying all night when they heard it. They said that it is better to die in the wilderness than going to the promised land of God.

The 2nd response is the response of 2 spies, Joshua and Caleb. They said to them, “be quiet!” Because all of them are weeping. “Yes the land is prosperous and beautiful. It is also real that the people there are tall and strong BUT GOD IS WITH US, WE CAN DEFEAT THEM…WE CAN DEVOUR ALL OF THEM.”

We can see in their response the trust, faith, and confidence they have to God. That regardless of how strong their enemies are, they still have the confidence that they will defeat them.

But still, people of Israel did not stop complaining. Thus, God heard them and respond, “How long the Israelites will complain and go against me? Don’t they know that I am the One who brought them out of Egypt? If they want to die here, then so be it.” Then Moses begged God not to go against the Lord and he prayed to God, and because of his prayer, God changed His mind. But the 40 days journey to promise land became 40 years, after that, they will die in the wilderness. But God is gracious and compassionate, in the span of 40 years, He still provides for them.

About 2.5 million people died because of their faithless response but Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land.

Brothers and sisters, what would be your response in difficult situations? Are you going to response like the Israelites or complete God’s given mission?

Brothers and sisters, ALWAYS RESPOND WITH FAITH IN GOD.

“Willing to be unknown”
John 1:35-40
Preacher: Ptr. Dave Camuyong

There are times that we want people to see us.

Are you willing to be unknown for Christ to be known?

What can we learn from this?

1. CRAVING FOR RECOGNITION
Pero sabi sa Matthew 6:1, when recognitiom becomes the goal, God is no longer the audience. You are now pleasing the world, not God.

Kaya let this be your personal declaration: “Kahit walang nakakapansin, maglilingkod ako!”

2. THE CALL TO REJECTION (OF SELF GLORY)
Sabi sa Luke 9:23, “if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

Kaya let this be your personal declaration:
“Mas pipiliin kong sumunod kaysa mapansin.”

3. THE CELEBRATION OF REGISTRATION (IN HEAVEN)
Sabi sa Luke 10:20, “nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirit are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

IT’S YOUR CHOICE.

BUT LET THIS BE YOUR MANTRA:

I am just a nobody telling everybody about somebody that can save anybody and HIS NAME IS JESUS!

SO LET US MAKE CHRIST KNOWN! Amen.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | Sunday’s Message Recap

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗦
(John 11:1-7)
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿: Pastor Dave

Question: Have you ever experienced when you pray to God and He is silent?

The death of Lazarus
Lazarus, a brother of Mary and Martha that lives in Bethany and whom Jesus loved was ill. Mary and Martha sent a message to Jesus. When Jesus heard about this, He stayed two more days longer in a place where He stays. And then Lazarus died.

The Death of Lazarus is a testimony of waiting, hope, and miracle.

When Jesus delays…it is never random but rather intentional. It is not neglect.

What can we learn from the scripture?

1. 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝘀 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬 has a 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 (John 11:6)
If He is making you wait, it is because He is preparing something worth the wait.

2. 𝗚𝗢𝗗‘𝘀 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 produces 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 (John 11:21)
God’s silence is never empty. It is productive. Perhaps you pray but still worry; you believe but still struggle. In God’s silence, He is teaching you something.

Because in SILENCE:
• Your faith is stretched
• Your trust is tested
• Your dependence grows deeper

Just because God is quiet doesn’t mean He is inactive.

“𝙁𝘼𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙄𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙉 𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙂𝙊𝘿 𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙎—𝙁𝘼𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙄𝙎 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙉 𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙃𝙀 𝙄𝙎 𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙏”

3. 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝘀 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡 is greater than your 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 (John 11:43-44)

Sometimes your expectation is too small for what God is about to do. There are times that we ask God for healing. But God has something more than what we asked Him—it is life. Stop limiting God to your expectation. Because if God answer you immediately, you might miss the greater miracle.

“𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝘼𝙍𝙀 𝘼𝙎𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙄𝙎 𝙈𝘼𝙔 𝘽𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿—𝘽𝙐𝙏 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙂𝙊𝘿 𝙄𝙎 𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙄𝙎 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙍 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝘼𝙎𝙆𝙀𝘿 𝙁𝙊𝙍.”

𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥:

In your waiting, God has a purpose. In His silence, He is producing faith. And in the end, His plan will always be greater.

So don’t walk away from God just because He didn’t move when you wanted. Don’t lose your faith just because He stayed silent. And don’t settle just because you don’t understand His timing.

Because in waiting, God is teaching you something—God is preparing you for something great…𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | Bible Notes Competition

Last Sunday, we recognized Sis. Jean as our note-taking champion for an incredible display of dedication and faithfully writing down every sermon since 2010! Your commitment is truly inspiring.

Taking notes isn’t just about writing, it’s about remembering God’s Word, reflecting on it throughout the week, and allowing it to shape our lives daily. When we write, we retain; when we reflect, we grow.

As we look back on this special moment, let it be a reminder to all of us: come prepared, bring your notebooks, and take part in the message in a deeper way. A single note today can become a life-changing reminder tomorrow. 🙏
