Jerusalem Oltotoi Church, a Kenya Assemblies of God church made up of Maasai people, met under a tree for 15 years. For a decade and a half, its members endured the hot sun, heavy rain, and flooding that could drive them away from their space entirely. Now, through the Churches Under the Tree Project, the church has a building where they can comfortably worship, no matter the conditions outside.
Pastor Mary Jacob says, “I know one thing: God has called us. God has brought us here, and God has a purpose for our calling. We are so grateful.”
