"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." — John 14:1-3 (NIV)

Let us reflect:
Jesus spoke these words just hours before the cross — knowing His disciples would soon be terrified, confused, and left behind. First He says: "Do not let your hearts be troubled." Not because trouble won’t come — but because His presence and promise are bigger than any trouble.

He does not show us a long, difficult road and leave us guessing where it leads. He points ahead: a place prepared — personally, lovingly, for you. And the most beautiful part? He doesn’t just prepare a place — He comes back Himself to bring you home. Not an angel, not a messenger — I will come.

This life may feel uncertain, temporary, even passing — but your true home is already being made ready by the One who walks beside you now. You have a destination — and you have His promise that you will never be left alone.

Let us Pray:

Lord Jesus, when our heart feels heavy and our days feel short, calm our troubled heart with Your word. I trust not in what I see, but in You who is faithful, in Your promise sure and strong. My hope is secure in You. Amen.
