DAGHANG SALAMAT, PADRE! | As we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, we also mark the final Mass of Fr. Edwin G. Decena as Parish Priest of Saint Augustine Parish-Hinatuan before he begins a new chapter in his ministry.

In his homily, Fr. Edwin left the faithful with a meaningful reflection: “My life, your life, our life is a gift from God. It is meant to be broken and shared.” These words remind us that the gift of life is not meant to be kept for ourselves but to be offered in love and service to God and others.

As we honor the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we give thanks for Fr. Edwin’s faithful service, spiritual guidance, and dedication to our parish community. We pray that God will continue to bless and strengthen him as he carries on his priestly mission.

PATRIS CORDE: WITH A FATHER’S HEART | In the Apostolic Letter of Pope Francis, Patris Corde: With a Father’s Heart, the Holy Father reflects on the beauty of fatherly love and faithful care—an example that is clearly lived out in the priestly ministry of Fr. Edwin Decena.

From his arrival, installation, and the many events he has organized and guided throughout his ministry, he has faithfully shepherded his flock with love, humility, and dedication for nearly 5 years.

Fr. Edwin, you are truly a gift and blessing to our parish. May the Lord continue to guide and strengthen you as you lead His people with compassion, wisdom, and faithful service.

FR. EDWIN AND HIS VICARS | Fr. Edwin Decena, together with his vicars, journeyed with the people of Hinatuan not only as spiritual leaders, but as fathers, mentors, and humble servants of Christ. Through their guidance, the parish became more than a community — it became a family united in faith and prayer.

In moments of joy and even in times of struggle, they stood beside the people with compassion and dedication, reflecting the love of Christ through their ministry.

Now, as Fr. Edwin lays down the staff of leadership in our parish, we see not an ending, but the turning of a page. His footsteps may no longer guide the flock of Hinatuan, yet his imprint remains — like seeds sown in fertile soil, ready to bear fruit in God’s perfect time.

With profound gratitude, we honor his years of service and entrust him to God’s continued guidance. May he always remember that Hinatuan will forever be grateful for his genuine leadership, kindness, and unwavering devotion to God and His people.

Salamatay gayud, Fr. Edwin, Fr. Jp, Fr. Ej, Fr. Rodel and Fr. Johnrey!
