With grateful hearts and deep devotion, the Barangay Atabay Chapel – Atabay Commission on Youth warmly invites everyone to join us in the Flores de Mayo Culmination and Santacruzan 2026 on May 28, 2026. This celebration is more than just a tradition—it is a beautiful gathering of faith, unity, and love as we honor Mama Mary and give thanks for the blessings received throughout the month of May. The day will begin with the Holy Rosary and program proper, followed by reflections, presentations, recognition of our children and catechists, special performances, and moments of appreciation for everyone who has become part of this meaningful journey.

As the celebration continues, we will witness the much-awaited Santacruzan, featuring the parade, presentations, selection of queens, and special moments that reflect the beauty and significance of our Marian tradition. Through every prayer, performance, award, and shared smile, may we be reminded that faith grows stronger when a community comes together with one purpose—to serve, celebrate, and honor God through Mama Mary. We encourage everyone to come and be part of this joyful and blessed occasion as we create memories filled with faith, grace, and unity. See you there!

May 1 marks a beautiful and meaningful beginning as we officially welcome Flores de Mayo with joyful and grateful hearts. We had the chance to introduce Flores and our youth catechist, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for everyone. The discussion of our new lesson plans gave us something to look forward to, while the fun and engaging games helped break the ice and brought laughter to the group. It was truly a day filled with smiles, excitement, and new connections.

As we start this journey together, we pray that this month will be filled with growth in faith, stronger friendships, and unforgettable moments. May this be the beginning of something inspiring for each one of us, as we continue to learn, serve, and walk together in God’s love.

The Atabay Commission On Youth (A-COY) successfully conducted a meaningful and enriching youth seminar held at the Hilongos Parish Convent on April 20, 2026, centered on strengthening both faith formation and pastoral responsibility. As young leaders and catechists, we recognize that our mission goes beyond teaching—it calls us to truly understand and care for the holistic well-being of the students entrusted to us, especially their mental and emotional health in today’s challenging times.

This gathering emphasized the importance of being attentive, compassionate, and responsive to the needs of the youth. It highlighted the reality that many students silently face struggles such as stress, anxiety, and personal challenges, reminding us that understanding their mental health is essential in guiding them effectively. As catechists, we are also called to nurture our own mental and emotional well-being, recognizing that being mentally and spiritually grounded allows us to interact with patience, empathy, and clarity in teaching.

Furthermore, the seminar introduced the updated lesson plan for Flores de Mayo, with a deeper focus on teaching the Holy Rosary Mysteries in a more engaging, meaningful, and spiritually enriching way. This integration of faith formation and mental awareness aims to create a more supportive and holistic learning environment for the youth.

Through this initiative, we, the Atabay Commission On Youth (A-COY), remain committed to forming not only faithful individuals but also empowered and emotionally aware young people. May this seminar serve as a foundation for us to continue guiding the youth with wisdom, dedication, and a heart rooted in service, understanding, and love.

In the Quiet, We Find Him

Today at Brgy. Atabay, the Hilongos Commission on Youth (HiCOY) gathered for an evening set apart for God — a solemn Taizé Prayer filled with stillness, song, and reflection.

In the soft glow of candles and the calm of shared silence, hearts were opened and faith was renewed. Each moment of prayer reminded us that even in our busy lives, God is waiting to meet us in the quiet.
