A humble reflection about an Atheist's account on "Why does God need to sacrifice His Son, Jesus, to save humanity from sin."
God can just do it instantly with just a snap of His fingers or with just a blink of an eye. But why did He allow Jesus to die? First of all, we cannot fathom His ways because His ways are different from ours. Our human minds cannot comprehend all the mysteries behind His works of love. Second, I believe that God made it the way it was, because He is a Father. A father who truly loves his children will look at the bigger picture. He will teach his children how to work in order to live and survive; how to cook rather than just simply buying food; grow their supplies rather than asking or buying them.
God allowed Jesus to die (after He established public ministry) in order for us to learn and appreciate the beauty of life. That whatever we do we will always harvest its fruit in due time (bad or good). God sent His Son to teach us how to live our lives in accordance with His will. And through obedience, we will inherit eternal life. God wants us to learn and apply the lessons of our downfalls. To rise again from sinfulness and embrace His Divine grace of forgiveness. Our Lord has taught us to work for our salvation. Because, if He simply and instantly grants it to us, the life He has given us will not grow and flourish. If God did not sacrifice His Son, we will never learn from our mistakes, from our past and won't be ready to face what lies ahead of us. God taught us that it is in our hands to choose, whether to embrace humility and repent or be proud and be our own gods. Now, salvation is already given, but we must still work for it. In the book of James 2:26 said, "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead., "Faith without work is dead."
Amen.🙏
