“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

This Christmas season, we were truly blessed with the opportunity to share simple gifts with families in our partner communities in selected areas of Hernani, Eastern Samar. What we gave may not have been much, but every item was offered with love, compassion, and a sincere desire to bring even a small smile to their faces. In moments like these, we are reminded that giving is not about how big the gift is, but how big the heart behind it truly is.

Seeing the joy, gratitude, and hope in the families we met made every effort worthwhile. This experience has once again shown us that even the simplest gestures can create meaningful change and brighten someone’s day.

This year marks the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord — a time of grace, reconciliation, and hope. 🙏✨

In the spirit of being Pilgrims of Hope, Our Lady of Seven Dolors Parish – Hernani joyfully invites everyone to join our week-long Jubilee celebration from August 23–29, 2025.

As the 2025 Midterm Elections approach, we urge all registered youth voters to exercise their rights and vote wisely. Approximately 50% to 60% of registered voters are from the youth sector.

How to Vote Wisely?
To make an informed decision, it is crucial to research the candidates thoroughly. Watch out for red flags, such as:

✅ Corruption Allegations and Convictions – Corrupt politicians often serve their own interests rather than the people’s. If elected, they are more likely to misuse public funds instead of working toward community development.

✅ Political Dynasties – Be cautious of candidates who come from families dominating the political scene, such as a mother and son running for office simultaneously or family members competing for the same position. This often signals an abuse of power and a desire for political control rather than genuine public service.

✅ Lack of Public Service Education or Experience – Effective leadership requires knowledge of governance, lawmaking, and public service. Candidates without relevant education or experience may struggle to fulfill their duties and serve the people effectively.

✅ Absence of a Concrete Advocacy – Genuine leaders run for office with a clear purpose: to serve and uplift their constituents. If a candidate lacks a solid advocacy or vision for the community, their candidacy may be driven by personal ambition rather than public welfare.

Youth Organization of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Parish Christmas Party! 🎊💜

The members of our Parish Youth gathered for a joyful celebration, enjoying a sunny day filled with fun games, exciting activities, and delicious food.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors for making this event possible. A special thank you also goes to the youth organization members who, though unable to attend, contributed their time and effort during the Parish’s preparations and in celebrating the birth of our Lord.

May we continue to find strength and joy in helping others, spreading the Word of God, and staying united in faith, no matter the challenges we face.
