The seat of the Diocese of Gumaca rests on the town of Gumaca, Quezon. Formerly known as “Bumaka” which means “to fight”, it is one of the oldest known towns in Quezon Province. It is found at 12 58’ 50 latitude lying on the eastern coast of Quezon province. It has a total land area of 3,666.4 sq. Like any other diocese, here parishes reside in varying land types. A big number of parishes are foun

d in the mountainous district of Bondoc Peninsula. Eight of them are located along the national highway. Finally, in Alabat Island rests three more parishes. In sum, the diocese comprises twenty eight parishes to date.

As the Senate convenes for the impeachment trial beginning on July 6, let us lift our Senator-Judges in prayer.

May the Holy Spirit grant them wisdom to discern the truth, courage to uphold justice, and integrity to remain faithful to their solemn oath. May they set aside personal interests, political affiliations, and outside pressures, choosing instead to serve with impartiality and genuine love for our nation.

Lord, guide our Senator-Judges. May they remain impartial, uphold the Constitution, and be ever loyal to the Filipino people and our country.
