Retracing Our Steps, Realigning Our Hearts:
Highlights from "Retreat to L.E.A.D."
Praise God! Grabe, what a weekend!
From August 30 to 31, 2026, our youth leadership team camped out at Splendor Hills, Tanauan, Batangas para mag-pause sa busy sched natin and genuinely seek God’s presence.
Carrying our theme Retreat to L.E.A.D. (Listen, Evaluate, Align, Deploy), this wasn't just your ordinary getaway—it was a deep, spiritual reset.
Here’s a quick recap of how God moved in our midst:
Day 1: Withdrawing & Purpose
We started the retreat right with Senior Pastor Boy Saturay leading Session 1 about "Withdrawing." He shared how important it is to have the right posture—paano mag-disconnect sa distractions, ano ang dapat iwasan para maging fruitful ang retreat, and how to come with faith-filled, intentional expectations instead of just vague ones. After that, we had a quiet personal time to Listen to God, answering tough questions about what needs to change in us and where God is calling us to step up.
By evening, Pastor Felipe Jun Cañete Natinga Jr. dropped some major truths about "Purpose." He reminded us to trust God’s plan and timing, and to stay faithful no matter what season or circumstance we're facing. Sinundan ito ng breakout session where groups evaluated their spiritual status and how to realign with God's heartbeat.
Day 2: Culture, Discipleship, and the Fivefold
The next morning, Pastor Felipe Jun Cañete Natinga Jr. opened our devotions focusing on leadership and discipleship culture. Pastor Alex Kibanja followed up with an encouraging word, reminding us what it truly means to be a disciple-leader and exhorting us to recognize and support the fivefold ministry gifts God placed in the body.
Moving Forward: Planning & Pastoral Alignment
Hndi lang basta emosyon ang retreat; may kasamang action!
For the rest of the morning, our Youth Director led a Planning Workshop. Dito namin pinag-isipan kung paano i-translate yung mga personal na natutunan namin into actual, concrete youth initiatives.
To cap it all off, we presented these plans sa ating mga pastors and leaders para sa kanilang wisdom, prayer, and validation before we officially deploy them.
Looking Ahead
The retreat may be over, but the mission continues! As we head back to our local contexts, hawak natin ang renewed eagerness to serve as authentic disciples of Jesus—ready to support the generations coming after us spiritually, morally, and in every way we can.
