Not every Muslim is born into Islam; some discover it after years of searching for meaning. G. Brian Magat Manansala (also known as Zul Kifli Manansala) is one such Balik-Islam revert whose journey reflects transformation, service, and faith.
Before embracing Islam, Brian had already built a reputation as an educator, author, motivational speaker, and humanitarian. A graduate of Bulacan State University with a degree in Secondary Education major in Filipino, he dedicated his career to teaching, culture, and youth empowerment. His achievements include being named Asia-Pacific Luminaire Awardee (2025), Asiaโs Most Inspiring Educator (2024), Asiaโs Humanitarian Hero (2023), and Outstanding Scoutmaster of the Philippines (2025). He also earned recognition in programs such as I-Witness: Batang Rizal and TEDx MHPNHS Youth, and represented the Philippines at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden.
As a writer, he authored Walang Pamagat: Kalipunan ng mga Tula, Dโ Adventures of Eagle Man, and Ang Sasakyang Aparador, while serving as a judge for BulPriSA and MaCiPriSA competitions. His creative and educational work consistently highlighted Filipino culture and youth development.
His greatest mission began after reversion to Islam. He founded Calumpit Muslims Inc., an organization promoting unity, Islamic awareness, humanitarian outreach, and peaceful coexistence. For Brian, Islam was not simply a change of religion but a reorientation of purpose โ turning talent into service, influence into responsibility, and recognition into a platform for faith and humanity.
Today, his story stands as proof that true success begins when one finds guidance in Islam, and that leadership rooted in faith can inspire communities toward unity and compassion.
