The story did not end in the tomb.
"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!'” (Matthew 28:5-6)
The women sought Jesus early in the morning, aiming to serve their Teacher even after His death. Instead, they found a supernatural being delivering an important message from God. In a time when women were considered unworthy witnesses, they were entrusted with a divine revelation: Jesus is alive! He’s victorious over death – hence, there’s no reason to fear.
This same hope is ours in the darkest moments. Are you facing a hopeless situation right now? A depleted source of income, a desperate need, a dreaded disease, a desolate place, a dead dream, or a defeated spirit? These situations bring anxiety, sadness, confusion, and sometimes even anger. But it doesn’t end there.
Always remember that glorious sunrise at the tomb when Christ conquered the ultimate enemy by rising again. The sacrifice and suffering of the Messiah will never be in vain. Even in difficult times, as His genuine followers, don't fear, fix your eyes on Christ. Hold onto His every powerful word. Just like when He said that He would rise up on the third day, He was true to His promise.
More than our present situation, there is eternal life that awaits all who believe in Jesus. The prophecies about His coming kingdom are coming to fulfillment, and we are assured that the best is yet to come.
🙏🏻 Prayer for today: Our Father in heaven, thank You for the life-changing message of the resurrection of Your Son. In times of uncertainty, we are reassured to trust in Your plan. Open our hearts to more of Your comforting presence, Your enlightening Word, and the counsel of the Holy Spirit. Strengthen our personal relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord to grant us greater clarity, deeper wisdom, and to become faithful witnesses of His triumph from the tomb that echoes into eternity.
