With grateful hearts, we praise and thank the Lord for the success of our Sabbath Worship Program this morning, beautifully led by the Youth Department, the Care Group Noah. Truly, God’s presence was felt throughout the entire service, reminding us once again of His unfailing love and guidance for His people.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Sis. Jeranne Morales for her inspiring promotional talk as she reechoed their meaningful experiences during the AYR Retreat held in Margus last week.
Special thanks as well to our divine speaker, Engr. Oliver Wendell Sumbrana, for delivering a heartfelt and wisdom-filled message entitled, “The Danger of Having Everything,” based on 1 Kings 3:9 and the life of King Solomon. The message reminded us that even the wisest and richest man on earth discovered that life without God is ultimately empty. Though Solomon had wisdom, riches, honor, and success, he later declared in Ecclesiastes 1:2, “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”
Some of the powerful lessons we learned from the message were:
1. The Blessings of Wisdom
True wisdom is not measured by knowledge alone, but by having a heart that seeks God’s guidance. Solomon’s prayer in 1 Kings 3:9 teaches us that wisdom becomes a blessing when it is used to serve others, lead with humility, and honor God in every decision.
2. The Danger of Compromise
Even a person greatly blessed by God can fall when they slowly allow compromise into their life. Solomon’s story reminds us that spiritual decline often begins with small compromises that gradually pull us away from God’s truth and purpose.
3. The Emptiness of Worldly Success
Wealth, achievements, fame, and earthly pleasures may satisfy for a moment, but they can never fill the emptiness of a soul that longs for God. Solomon had everything the world could offer, yet he still declared that all earthly things are meaningless without the Lord.
4. The Necessity of God
At the end of everything, we are reminded that God is not just a part of life — He is the very purpose of life. True peace, joy, fulfillment, and direction can only be found in a genuine relationship with Him.
To everyone who took part in today’s program — our singers, prayer leaders, speakers, officers, participants, and all who attended — thank you for offering your time, talents, and hearts in service to the Lord. Your dedication and willingness to serve made this worship experience truly meaningful and uplifting.
May God continue to bless each one of us as we remain faithful in His work and steadfast in our walk with Him. Let us continue to seek heavenly wisdom over worldly gain, and choose God above everything else.
Happy Sabbath! 🤍
