From recruitment last May to the challenges that came our way, this journey has been a beautiful reminder that serving God is not always easyโbut it is always worth it.
Last June, we were caught in an unexpected earthquake. Then came the floods in July. Yet, through every challenge, our Altar Servers and aspirants continued to show courage, faith, and compassion. Instead of stepping back, they stepped forwardโhelping one another, giving their time, sharing their strength, and offering their efforts in service.
What started as a simple invitation to serve has become a journey of friendship, faith, resilience, and growth.
To our AS, thank you for saying YESโnot only to serving at the altar, but also to serving one another. Your willingness to give your time and effort, especially during difficult moments, is a beautiful testimony of what young people can do when they work together with faith and love.
As we culminate this year's Altar Servers Month, may we continue to nurture the hope that lives in our youth. May they always remember that their presence matters, their talents have a purpose, and their small acts of service can become a light to others.
โThe youth are not only the hope of the futureโthey are also a blessing and a source of hope for the Church today.โ
May this journey of serving continue beyond this month. May we grow not only as Altar Servers, but also as young people who choose to serve, care, and make a difference wherever they are.
