Last March 30, 2025 (Sunday), the Cluster Youth Orientation Program (CYOP) of the Gingoog Downtown Cluster was successfully held at Lunao Mission. Present in the activity were the parishes and missions under the clusterโGingoog Parish, Lunao Mission, Medina Parish, and the newly confirmed missions during the last Diocesan Convention: Banigan Mission and Punta Santiago Mission.
We were honored to be joined by our Cluster Coordinator Rev. Jeremias Fuentes, as well as special guest Lindon Albaciete, AVP from the Gingoog Uptown Cluster.
The orientation began with the recognition of participants led by Kristine Molina, followed by a warm welcome address from our newly elected PYEC President of Lunao Mission, Reymart Busig.
As part of the opening activities, a GTKY (Getting to Know You) was facilitated by Sep Louise Edillor, AVP of the Gingoog Downtown Cluster, as everyone prepared for the main program.
The event featured three insightful inputs:
The Brief History of IFI, delivered by Revโd Johnreal P. Jadman, Priest of Lunao Mission and Youth Chaplain of the Diocese of Sugbongcogon.
The History of YIFI, shared by Reymart Busig.
Before the third input, a Community Building activity was conducted, led by AVP Sep Edillor, with the help of our senior YIFIs and guests. This also served as a rehearsal for songs to be used in the upcoming Summer Youth Camp.
YIFI Constitution and By-Laws, presented by our DYEC Vice President James Kevin Sibonga.
We congratulate the five parishes and missions of the Gingoog Downtown Cluster for their active and enthusiastic participation: Gingoog Parish, Lunao Mission, Medina Parish, Banigan Mission, and Punta Santiago Mission.
A heartfelt thank you to all our Parish Priests, especially our Cluster Coordinator Rev. Fr. Jeremias Fuentes, for their full support. To the IFI community of Lunao Mission, thank you for the warm welcome and delicious meals you prepared for everyone!
Lastly, we express our deepest gratitude to the Diocesan Youth Executive Council (DYEC) and to our beloved Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Revโd Romeo G. Tagud, for continuously empowering the youth and supporting meaningful programs like this.
May we continue to live out the lessons weโve learned during the orientation. Letโs keep the fire burning and look forward to seeing each other again at DSYC 2025!
Padayon, mga YIFI! ๐
