A message for those who know what chains feel like.
Every mother working beside a kiln, every child covered in brick dust — God sees them. Their suffering has not gone unnoticed. Their tears have been counted.
The debt that keeps their family bound may feel impossible to escape. But there is One who looked at the full weight of that debt — every chain, every unpaid account, every generation of bo***ge — and paid it all. Not reduced it. Paid it entirely.
Among us all there is also a debt to the law which we cannot pay. A debt in which the payment is the death of the soul. But Christ came to pay that debt in its entirety with His life. "He canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands — this He set aside, nailing it to the cross." — Colossians 2:14 We do not have to earn His love. We cannot work our way to freedom. It is a gift — already given, already paid for, already ours.
