"An Ordinance institutionalizing the Provincial Biodiversity Council of Misamis Oriental, defining its composition, powers, functions and appropriating funds therefor..."

as we faces Biodiversity numerous challenges due to human activities leading to widespread habitat destraction, pollution & climate change, which includes key problems... deforestation and urban expansions which significantly diminish natural habitats, pushing them towards extinction, pollution of plastic waste, contaminates both terrestrial and marine ecosystem, harming wildlife, while climate change alters ecosystem by shifting temperatures theatening species unable to adapt..
In order to address gaps in biodiversity the Provincial Development Council of misamis Oriental, pushed the comprehensive Biodiversity Strategic Action Plan, a 15 year/long term plan for the preservation, protection & restoration with the collaborative and inclusive effort of our local communities, government and stakeholders to ensure biodiversity contributes to socio-economic development, climate resillience and the enhancement of local cultural heritage...
