ANG BIBLIYA AY AKLAT NA GAWANG KATOLIKO
Ang Simbahang Katoliko ang pumili ng mga aklat upang maging bahagi ng Biblia. Nangyari ito sa Synod of Hippo (393 AD) at nakumpirma sa Council of Carthage (397 AD), kung saan nagtipon ang mga Obispo ng Katoliko upang magpasya kung aling mga aklat ang bahagi ng kanon o listahan ng Bagong Tipan.
Napagpasyahan na 27 na aklat lamang ang bahagi ng Bagong Tipan na idinagdag sa 46 na aklat mula sa Septuagint Old Testament.
Si Pope Damasus ang namuno sa pagpili ng mga aklat na itinuturing niyang "ordered" at "genuine" at pagkatapos ay tinawag itong "Damasine list".
Isinalin ni Saint Jerome ang mga banal na kasulatan sa loob ng tatlumpung (30) taon sa isang kuweba sa Jerusalem (Capital city of Israel) 367-397 A.D. at tinawag itong "Latin Vulgate".
Ang salitang "Biblia" ay hindi nakasulat sa loob mismo ng Biblia. Ang nagbigay ng salitang "Biblia" ay si Pope Siricius at itinawag ito sa binuong banal na kasulatan. Nangangahulugan ito ng "mga libro" mula sa salitang Greek na byblos na nangangahulugang "papyrus", mula sa sinaunang Lungsod ng Phoenician ng Byblos na nage-export ng papiro, ang "papel" nung araw.
Isang obispo na nagngangalang Athanasius ang nagbigay ng salitang "Bagong Tipan" noong 367AD.
Ang mga kabanata o Chapters sa Bibliya ay ginawa rin ng mga Catholic Cardinals na sina Stephen Langton at Hugo de Caro.
Ang mga dibisyon ng mga talata o Verses ay ginawa ng isang Catholic Monk na nagngangalang Santes Pagnino.
Ang pagpi-print ay nilikha ng isang imbentor na Katolikong Aleman na nagngangalang Johannes Guttenberg na gumawa ng unang naka-print na Biblia na nagmumula sa "Latin Vulgate" version. Ito ang kauna-unahang version ng Biblia na nai-print sa kasaysayan.
At dahil hindi lahat isinama ang higit sa 300 na aklat ay Biblia na mismo ang umamin na HINDI LAHAT ng bagay o katotohanan ay nakasulat sa Biblia (Juan 21:25, Juan 20:30). At hindi isinulat ni Kristo ang lahat ng kanyang mga turo sa isang librong tinatawag na "Biblia". 25 Subalit marami pa ring ibang mga bagay na ginawa si Jesus, na kung susulating isa-isa, sa palagay ko, kahit sa sanlibutan mismo ay hindi magkakasiya ang mga aklat na isusulat.

30 Gumawa si Jesus ng marami pang ibang mga tanda sa harapan ng kanyang mga alagad, na hindi naisulat sa aklat na ito.
Kaya, ang munting paalala sa mga sektang nagsasabi na lahat ng aral nila ay nakababatay lang sa Biblia (Bible Alone),.. ANG SALITA NG DIOS AY HINDI LIMITADO SA KUNG ANO LANG ANG NAKASULAT SA BIBLIA. Hindi lahat ng Salita ng Dios ay nakasulat dito.
Ang di-Katolikong iskolar ng Biblia na nagngangalang Dr. Peter Flint na nanalo ng "Pinakatanyag na Aklat" mula sa Greek Archeology Society para sa kanyang pagsasalin ng Dead Sea Scrolls, ay nagsasabi na walang Kristiyanong Bibliya hanggang 397, noong magpasya ang Simbahang Katoliko kung ano ang kabilang na mga libro. Bago iyon, mayroong higit sa 300 mga liham at ebanghelyo ng Bagong Tipan at ang Septuagint ng Lumang Tipan. Tulad ng sinabi niya: "Kung wala ang Simbahang Katoliko wala kayong Bibliya!
Simbahang Katoliko ang kumilala at nagpasya kung anong mga aklat ang isinama sa opisyal na listahan (canonized) at siyang naging tagapagtanggol ng mga ito. Ang Simbahang Katoliko rin ang nagbigay ng pangalan nito na "Biblia". Kaya, yung mga sektang may balak na bumuo din ng sarili nilang aklat ay siguraduhin niyo lang na huwag niyo itong tatawaging "Biblia" dahil ang pangalan na yan ay galing sa Iglesia Katolika. Samakatuwid, KUNG WALA ANG SIMBAHANG KATOLIKO AY WALA RING NABUONG "BIBLIA".
Ang BIBLIA ay aklat na gawang Katoliko!
