Psalm 126
1 When the LoRD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3 The LORD hath done great things for us;whereof we are glad.
Theme: Who will cheer for Jesus?
Luke 19: 40 โAnd he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.โ
Jesus was declaring that praise to Him cannot be silenced. Even if His followers stopped worshiping, creation itself would lift its voice in honor of the Creator. Yet today, many of Godโs people have fallen silent their voices quieted by fear, distraction, or indifference. While the world grows louder in celebrating its idols, fame, and pleasures, the church sometimes hesitates to lift up the name of Jesus with boldness and joy.
The world shouts for its heroes, celebrities, influencers, sports champions, and trends pouring out praise, passion, and loyalty. Stadiums roar, concerts echo, and social media bursts with celebration. But in contrast, some believers remain silent in worship, reserved in prayer, and hesitant to testify of Godโs goodness.
Jesusโ words remind us: if we stay silent, creation will not. The stones, the winds, the heavens all declare His glory (Psalm 19:1). But as His redeemed people, it is our calling and privilege to be the voice of praise that will not be drowned out by the noise of the world.
