Samuel's life reminds us that God delights in those who listen to His voice and faithfully obey His Word. From a young age, Samuel chose to serve the Lord and became a faithful servant throughout his life.

But Samuel's story points us to Someone even greater. As God's faithful prophet, Samuel pointed people to the Lord, just as 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 perfectly reveals God and leads us to eternal life.

Joshua's life reminds us that true courage comes from trusting God's promises and obeying His Word. Though the challenges before him seemed impossible, Joshua remained faithful because he knew that the Lord was with him wherever he went.

But Joshua's story points us to Someone even greater. Just as Joshua led God's people into the Promised Land, 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 leads all who believe in Him into the eternal inheritance that God has promised.

Moses' life reminds us that God can use anyone who is willing to trust and obey Him. Though Moses felt weak and inadequate, God empowered him to lead His people according to His perfect plan.

But Moses' story points us to Someone even greater. Just as Moses led Israel out of bo***ge, 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 delivers us from the bo***ge of sin and gives us true freedom.

Our second Bible Hero is 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗺, shared by Princess Matugas!

Abraham's life reminds us that true faith means trusting and obeying God, even when His commands are difficult to understand. When God asked Abraham to offer his beloved son Isaac, Abraham trusted that God would provide.

But Abraham's story points us to Someone even greater. Just as Abraham was willing to offer his only son, 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗻, 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆—𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁!

This National History Month, as we honor the men and women who helped shape our nation's story, we also invite you to discover the heroes found in God's Word. Their lives were marked by faith, courage, obedience, and God's grace—and each of their stories ultimately points to the greatest Hero of all, Jesus Christ.

Throughout August, our church kids will introduce us to their favorite Bible heroes, share the lessons they've learned, and remind us how God can use ordinary people for His extraordinary purposes.

Join us for our special video series, "𝗪𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼?" and be encouraged by these young kids as they share timeless truths from Scriptures!

With hearts overflowing with gratitude to God, we rejoice in the successful organization of Bethany Bible Baptist Church New Washington last July 26, 2026.

This memorable occasion is a wonderful testimony of what God can accomplish through believers who remain abounding in the work of the Lord. Every prayer offered, every soul reached, every disciple nurtured, and every act of faithful service has been used by God to establish another Gospel-preaching church in New Washington, Aklan.

We praise the Lord for the leadership of Pastor Jerson Gamao and for every faithful member of this church whose commitment has been instrumental in this ministry. Their steadfast service reminds us that no labor done for Christ is ever in vain.

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." — 1 Corinthians 15:58

May Bethany Bible Baptist Church New Washington continues to abound in the work of the Lord, faithfully proclaiming His Word, making disciples, and bringing glory to His name for generations to come.
