πππππππ πππππ: The Rapture is Coming, Are You Ready? [7:30 AM Service]
Scripture reminds us that the return of Christ is certain, even though the exact timing remains known only to the Father, and regardless of the different views Christians may have concerning the timeline of the Rapture, there are truths that remain certain: Jesus Christ will personally return, the dead in Christ will be resurrected, living believers will be transformed, Godβs people will be gathered to Him, and we will be with the Lord forever.
Because the return of Christ is certain, the question we must continually ask is not simply, βWhen will it happen?β but, βAm I ready?β The timing of the Rapture is important, but readiness for Christ is essential.
Jesus Himself warned that His coming would be unexpected, just as the flood came during the days of Noah while people continued with their ordinary lives without realizing what was about to happen, and therefore He commanded His followers to remain watchful and prepared because the Son of Man will come at an hour they do not expect. Furthermore, the expectation of Christβs return should not produce fear in the believer but encouragement and comfort, because Scripture promises that those who belong to Christ will one day be gathered to Him and remain with Him forever.
This hope gives us strength to endure the difficulties of the present because we know that our current circumstances are not the end of the story. When our perspective becomes eternal, worldly wealth, suffering, disappointment, and temporary struggles no longer have the same power over us because we understand that something far greater is waiting for us in Christ.
Being ready is more important than knowing the date, because those who truly expect Jesus to return will live differently today. Let us continually hear the voice of our Good Shepherd, follow Him faithfully, remain anchored in His truth, and never wander from Him until the glorious day when we finally see Him face to face.
