WEDNESDAY VERSE ✨

I have found that one of our problems in life is that we tend to fall in “love” with many things that are in this world. So often we try to make this earth our home and wonder why we are never fully content. Just as soon as we start to feel comfortable, something happens in our lives that affects that comfort. What I have found that has been most helpful is to have the proper perspective. The apostle John said,

“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world! The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:15-17)

Every day there is going to be tug-of-wars in your life. There will be pursuits, challenges, difficulties, distractions, interruptions, etc. that will daily try to pull you away from your relationship with God. God has clearly told us many times that if we place our relationship with Him first in our lives, He then will handle all the other things. He has also promised that we will have that content, secure, and “at home” feeling because we’re looking to Him for our needs and not all these other things in the world.

Here’s to finding our comfort in the security of the Lord today!

SUNDAY VERSE ✨

How well do you sleep at night? Do you ever lose sleep thinking about your problems? I must admit, there are times when I lie awake in the middle of the night thinking about problems that need solving.

"Fearing the Lord" is the secret to living a contented life that is not affected by the circumstances around us. To "fear the Lord" means that we make Him the most important in our lives. It is being more concerned about what He thinks than what I or others think. It is seeking His kingdom and His righteousness first in our lives.If we do this, then God says He will handle our problems and concerns. He will not allow the troubles that plague others to also plague you. He will not allow your problems to overwhelm you. He will allow you to go to sleep at night not worried about your future. Life will be a joy to you, not a burden. Next time you find yourself awake during the night worrying about life, maybe you can use that time to thank the Lord that He is in control and can handle all your problems.

SATURDAY VERSE ✨

God said to Moses in Numbers 11:23:
"Is the LORD'S power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not."

God continually encourages you and me to step out on His word and witness His power and His faithfulness. He wants us to watch His promises come true! Our prayer is that you will spend a good amount of time in God's word so that you will know His promises. He can be powerful on your behalf!

FRIDAY VERSE ✨
Araw ng Kagitingan

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Leaning on ourselves feels so natural and comfortable. However, leaning on God does not seem natural and is very scary. Yet, when I lean on ourselves and our own understanding, our life veers out of control. When we lean on the Lord and trust Him our life is under control (His control) the most. God won't let us fall.

Here's for a great Friday of "leaning on Him!"

WEDNESDAY VERSE ✨

Sometimes we wonder why we have certain trials or challenges in our lives. It clearly points out here, that God wants to see you through your challenges by encouraging and comforting you. Once you have made it through, you will be able to comfort those in the same way. You have a ministry of encouragement and comfort to others! Your trials have a reason and a purpose! God never wastes a hurt or an experience. Notice that God is the God of all comfort. He knows what you need right now. He wants to give you the strength and encouragement to make it through today. He will take care of tomorrow.

Here’s for keeping the faith this Wednesday and being better equipped for ministry!
