“THE FINISHED WORK”
-With Brother Gershon Loteria, sharing the Word of God.

The supper was a memorial of Jesus. The act of Having a foot washing was an act of Humbling ourselves before Jesus. Also the two phrases Jesus spoke just before he died, "I thirst" and "It is finished" are the two things that we learn from as he hung on the cross. ☝️

At that moment the work of salvation was completed. Every sin, Any burden, Any wrong that we could never make Right, He took them all upon Himself. The Great Exchange: His Life For Yours.

By His thirst we have seen His humanity.
And His finished work is our triumph.

He carried the weight of the cross so that you could carry the light of His grace.

"Jesus took our place so we could have His." This divine exchange means he bore our curses and sins so we could inherit his righteous standing, salvation, and life. - 2 Corinthians 5:21 🙌

“FROM WORRY TO WORSHIP”

‭Matthew 6:25 NIV‬
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

When you have so many things that want to create anxiety in your life choose to follow God and worship Him because that's the way to get true peace.

God Jesus is showing the people He is teaching how God provides for His people and that they should not be in fear of not having their basic needs met. In this verse from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount He is telling them to not be anxious for the things they need.

Worship will calm our hearts when we start to experience worries, and it takes away the power of those worries. Stop worrying, instead Pray about everything.

“GRACE UPON GRACE”

Today’s sermon reminded me that God’s grace never runs out.

Just as it says in John 1:16, “Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”

Every day, God gives us new mercy, new strength, and new chances to keep going. What carried me through last year will surely carry me through this year as well. I don’t have to prove myself, God’s grace is already more than enough. Truly grateful for grace upon grace. 🙌

At times, we live as though we must gain favour with God or validate our existence through the things we do. However, grace is a gift from God; He grants graciousness to us undeservedly. No matter how many times we have failed or how badly we have disappointed Him or others, God chooses to bless us with His mercy instead of condemning us and with His patience instead of rejecting us. Grace from God makes us whole again, gives us strength, and reassures us that our identity is found only in Him, and not in our past achievements or failures.

So, on this new day and in this new season of your life, let you choose to walk by faith and not through works. God who has carried us through each season before will also have new grace that we will need for the day ahead. I am so grateful that Christ has provided us with a continual abundance of grace; there is never-ending grace available from God in every situation of your life. 🙌✨

“𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄”

When we think about Jesus on a cross, most of the time all we think about is His physical pain—the nails He had driven through His hands and feet, the thorn crown placed upon His head, the merciless beatings He endured.

But there was so much more taking place; there was something so much deeper and more meaningful to us happening then and there, and we won't ever fully comprehend it.

For the whole six hours while He was hanging there in darkness on that cross, Jesus, right before He died, did not simply endure the physical torture of a cross; rather, He also bore all the weight of every sin of the past, present, and future.

As it tells us in 𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟓:𝟐𝟏, "𝘏𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘏𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘮".

Can you even conceive of that?

The Son of God, who knew no sin, actually became sin? 🫣

We cannot imagine the enormity of the spiritual battle that had been raging against each other in that dark hour. Jesus was fighting an invisible warfare and, in that fight, He won a battle that we could not see because He conquered sin, death, and the enemy, whose desire is to destroy you and your marriage and your family.

So what this means for you today, whatever you are having to deal with (the hurts, the betrayal, the disappointments, and the struggles)—they are all too big for Jesus to handle (He already carried them on His back for you, Jesus has already delivered the victory). 🙌

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is still alive today and can give you the power to resurrect you, your hope, and your love again.

The Love which shed blood.
The Love that offers forgiveness.
The Love which gives salvation.

It is faith-centered love, calling you back to the cross! It reminds you that God chose you before any other choice was made!

Your greatest LOVE story didn't begin on Valentine's Day but at the cross...
The love which endured.
The love which saved you.
