Romans 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Let's hear a song, that will remind us that God is in control of everything, and He meant it all for good.

OUR STRONG FORTRESS

Luke 6:48 "He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock."

"The foundation of the building determines both the strength and lifespan of the building." -Unknown

Building a strong foundation is not easy, it requires great decision on which you should build it upon. Many things look stronger on the outside which tempt us to build on that place but when the storm comes unexpectedly it easily destroys. Likewise, to our life, we tend to seek more on where we should build ourselves but the answer is already there. Jesus is our rock, our strong fortress since from the beginning. He never fails in everything. He knows that life is not rosy, that's why He reminded us to build our lives on Him thru obeying His Words so that when the flood and storm come (trials, challenges, hardships etc), we can still stand and not be destroyed by those things.

My friend, what foundation are you building your life on?

PSALMS 139:6

"Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it."

The all-knowing God knows our every detail. He knows us very well more than ourselves. Sometimes, we may not understand His plans for us if our focus is only for ourselves. But God's plan for us is in bigger picture which is written in His Word. His thoughts are higher than ours. However, God is gracious that He doesn't want us to believe without any basis. His Word reveals that He controls everything. We failed by our own knowledge and might but God never fails.

YOU HAVE THE FULLNESS OF GRACE YOU NEED

"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Ephesians 4:7"

Grace is unmerited favor from God. Meaning, we do not adequately earned or deserved it, but it was given by God to each of His children, it is a special ability given by GOD according to the capacity of every believer.

To accomplish God's will and purpose in our lives, we should coupled our ability with the grace of God, As a child of God what we need to be concerned with is what we are doing with our gifts, and not to look on someone's God's given gift, because what the Lord expects from us is faithfulness, He is looking at how well we are able to use the gifts;in local church ministries, in enriching the lives of others & to expand God's kingdom here on earth.

God sees our hearts, and He can entrust us additional gifts if we keep our integrity and purity in doing His works.

"The more I see, the more I can't explain, how the One who set the world in place could even know my name."🎶🎶

Let's have another virtual song to praise the greatness of our Lord. Indeed, that the Lord we serve is great and worthy to be praised!

ONE OF THE WICKED

Proverbs 12:26 "The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them."

Most Christians have lots of friends. They may either be classmates, workmates, neighbors or even churchmates whom they spend time with. But we all know that not all of them are followers of Christ still Christians choose to ignore this fact, thinking that they can win over these people to Christ while hanging out with them. The sad truth is that, instead of influencing these people, Christians are the ones swayed. They start losing interest in prayers, Bible reading and even attending church services. Slowly they become ONE WITH THE WICKED.

There's no wrong if we hang out with our friends,
But we should keep our ground firm.

As Christians, we should not play tug of war with the wicked, because, there is this tendency for our old sinful nature to be ignited.

Be reminded, be the light, and be the salt of the Earth.

THE PURPOSE OF GIFT

1 Peter 4:10 “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

A child would often receive toys as gifts. Whatever he’ll do with the gifts he received is within his disposal and would likely result to the misuse of these gifts. Hence, those leads to premature breakdown of said gifts. But then, when a child goes through the accompanying instructional manual, which the maker of the toy has given, there, he will see the details of the hows and whys of the toy. Only then, will the toy be fully enjoyed and last long if instructional manual is observed to the letter.

In the same way, God has given us instructions, on how we are going to use the gifts He gave us. God commands us to serve others, by helping one another, especially those who are in need. Let’s use our talent, skills, and other God given abilities accordingly, as He purposes them to be used. The purpose of the gifts, is to give glory to the maker, to lift Him up and not to uplift ourselves.

Can we check on the purpose of our God given gifts?
Are these gifts being used according to His purpose?

Psalms 32:7 "You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble; And surround me with songs of deliverance."

In this world full of uncertainties we will find a safe place. A secret place where we feel protected and secured. In the presence of our Lord, if we are exhausted and burn out we can find the right place to release and have rest. Our Lord has given us the privilege to be with His presence that no other man or any place can give.

ABSOLUTE SECURITY

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

In this chapter of Romans, apostle Paul spoke to those who are in Christ. He first established the absolute security of Christians once they received the promise of Salvation.

This security from the adversities a Christian may face along his way was emphasized in this chapter. God knows that a bunch of trials, persecutions, and sufferings for Christ's sake will try to dump us, but Apostle Paul reminds us, Christians, to be at good cheer when struggle comes along the way, but it is important note to remember, that this security doesn't spare Christians from the pain of life, in fact, Apostle Paul mentioned how the consequences of our sins made us groan, we suffer because of it, but because of the Promise of Salvation we got when we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts made us not to dwell with it alone, for God is working for us.

We may face different struggles today, but may this verse remind us to trust God, that He is behind all things when we see nothing with our human lenses.

Abraham (Abram)
THE SPIRITUAL PILGRIM, WHOSE NAME MEANS "FATHER OF A MULTITUDE"

-Age lived: 175 years old
- Known as "The Father of Faith"

•All Jews trace their roots back to a single man--Abraham. While living with his wife Sarah, the Lord called him to go to a new county then he just obeyed without questioning. His destination turned out to be the promised land. Throughout God's Word, he is remembered as the father of Israel as well as the father of a new spiritual race.

-Some books in the Bible where He was mentioned:
~Genesis 12-22;25
~Heb. 11:8-12 & v.17

CONTINUE

2 Timothy 3:14 "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;"

As days go by, our world is becoming worser. Crimes, immoralities, violence and many other wicked things escalate. As we can read on the start of this chapter (2 Tim. 3), Apostle Paul describe these things as Perilous times, that's why he reminded Timothy to "CONTINUE". Continue to stand on what he had learned from God's Word, continue to stand for what is right in the Lord.

Many beautiful things surround us that would seem satisfy the desires of our old nature, so tempting that we could hardly resist them thus, to overcome all these, it is very important to continue building our foundation on the Word of God, hearing Bible-based preachings and have a personal talk with our Lord. The more we gird ourselves with these the stronger we are to topple down the power of sin. Apart from these we are powerless.
