Am I really serving the Lord with… EXCELLENCE?
It’s a question worth pausing to ask ourselves. Serving God isn’t just about being busy with ministry or doing great things that others can see. True excellence in service begins in the heart — in the quiet spaces where only God sees our motives and our efforts.
Excellence doesn’t mean perfection. It means giving God our *best* — our best time, our best attitude, our best effort — because He deserves nothing less. It’s choosing to honor Him in every task, whether big or small, seen or unseen.
Sometimes, serving with excellence looks like showing up when it’s hard, being faithful when no one notices, or doing something ordinary with extraordinary love. A person who strive for excellence doesn’t give up when he or she makes a mistake.
It’s about letting the Holy Spirit shape our hearts, refine our motives, and teach us to serve out of gratitude, not obligation.
Let’s take time to reflect:
💭 Am I giving God my best in this season?
💭 Do I serve for His glory or for my own recognition?
💭 Am I being faithful in the little things He’s entrusted to me?
The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23–24 (NIV):
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
May we continue to grow in serving the Lord with excellence, with humility, joy, and a heart fully devoted to Him. Whatever we do, may it always point back to Jesus. 🙏
